Chapter 20
* There were very few things in this world that could make Afrah laugh. Rebel Wilson or Mellisa McCarthy movies were at the top of the list, closely followed by her siblings arguing. Unexpected flatulence was on the list as well.  But seeing a grown man falling flat on his face had suddenly topped the list in a matter of seconds.

Chapter 21
*Sa'ada's wedding was held on a Friday, the thirteenth day of the month. Superstitious people might have deemed it an unlucky arrangement, but for the most part no one seemed to care.  As it happened, Adnan didn't attend the ceremony. He had chosen to book another appointment with the realtor on that same day, in order to take his mind off the fact that Sa'ada would be leaving him forever that day. He decided to invite Khalifa as well, and with s

* It took Adnan nearly three weeks to move in completely into his new home. The hardest part was getting the right furniture, a task which he had been looking forward to the least. *The first official trip Afrah and the others took under RHIP was to Gurjiya, a small town on the outskirts of Kano. It was on a Saturday, just over a month before she graduated. Chapter 27
*Afrah didn't call until two days later.  It wasn't that she didn't want to. She had read somewhere that it was best to call someone three days after getting their number. That way, they wouldn't think you were too hung up on them. On the second day however, her willpower broke and she found herself dialling his number. That article she read had warned against this particular act, but she didn't care at this point.

Chapter 29
*  "You're back," Yusuf said as he stepped into the living room. It was exactly five minutes to midnight, and everyone in the house had gone to bed. Or at least they pretended to. Adnan was sitting in the living room, his eyes staring unfocused at the TV, where a boring sitcom was showing. He looked up slowly at his father, waiting to see something which wasn't there anymore.
