The vampire army had never tasted total defeat before as it did tonight at the hands of the hybrids. It was a humbling defeat to the vampire hierarchy.  Dracula was already back home in his lair when the scattered fragments of his once large army started arriving one after the other. Some had gone home directly, following the shortest route to invade death at the hands of the hybrids. "The hybrids have retreated, they have stopped killing", he said, relieved in his chambers. Dracula's generals were amongst the last to arrive back at his lair. Dracula had told his guards to keep an eye out for the hybrids, just in case they trailed him back home. So far the sign was good and Dracula had stopped hearing death cri

Dracula was now inside the mansion. There were no lights in the house except for that one room where Dracula could see the light was lit up from the outside. Dracula slowly made his way up the dark stairway. Up on the next floor, it was still dark but he could see the light source coming from underneath the closed door of  a room. "Could Ambrosia be in there?", he thought. It was too conspicuous but Dracula still moved towards it.  Everywhere was dead silent as he opened the door knob. The door opened and Dracula walked in. He could see that the room was empty,  Ambrosia was not in it. With his sensitive sense of hearing, he listened for any footsteps within the mansion and outside but there was nothing. 

The kiss lasted for a while until they both let go. Silas held her hand as they both walked along the poorly lit street. "Can I ask you a question?", Mildred said, looking up admirably at him. "Yes, you can ask me anything", Silas said,  smiling at her. "Okay", Mildred said, smiling back at him before looking away shyly.  "Aren't you risking too much for me, would Dracula ever accept us as a couple?", she asked concerned. "Yes I am risking a lot but I'll gladly take that risk for you". "Dracula is a difficult lord to please but I believe I can win him over. Maybe finally our union may end

Mildred led Silas to the werewolf's territory. He had never come this close before to her home. On the way to her home there were werewolves everywhere, guarding their territory and keeping off intruders like vampires. But today Silas didn't feel like an intruder, the werewolves let him pass through their territory without batting an eyelid. They had now passed the outskirts of the werewolf's territory and were now on the inside. There were so many werewolves, even Silas couldn't count. He felt like he had walked into a trap but his only comfort was that he knew Mildred was true to her words that he would be safe in the territory of the werewolves. "We have to go see Alpha White first", Mildred said to him, as she led the way to his house. "Okay", Silas said calmly.
