New friendships

WHAM! Anya punched Sushant in the face. “That’s for what you did 3 years back. I was the cop who put you behind the bars and I won’t hesitate again. Stay away.”Impressed by Anya’s outburst, Raj glared at the excuse for a human in front of them, “who is the joker?”“Her ex!” Andy replied, gesturing towards Mia who stood stunned at the turn of the events. Anya had enjoyed the movie. She loved masala Bollywood movies but Iron Man 3 was a good movie too. More than the movie she enjoyed watching it with Andy and his group of friends. For the first time, she felt she belonged in a group. It was a group of people from diverse backgrounds with varied interests and differe

A Quiet Monsoon Evening

Dane wanted Jenny to meet his family. They settled the bill and a chirping, chortling Jenny left with Dane. She was a little high. The couple's happiness was addictive as Anya looked forward to getting some free time with Andy. Mia wanted to go for bike ride and poor Raj acceded to going back to his flat in the city. Everyone could see how smitten he was with Mia. Anya had a sense that he wasn’t really planning to let Mia off the hook that easily. She would need to run him through the system. After all Mia was her friend now. Anya and Andy decided to spend the rest of the evening together. The only place Anya wanted to be after such an exciting day was in Andy’s arms, relaxing at his house, in the TV room. His house felt more like hers now. They put up a Boll

Suicide Case

After the movie, they went to bed in each other's arms. Anya woke up in the morning with her back resting comfortably against Andy’s athletic body. Something hard poking against her butt made her heart skip a beat as Andy caressed the side of her face. He let his hands move to her naked shoulder where her loose T-shirt had fallen off-shoulder exposing her smooth wheatish skin.He left soft feathery kisses at the nape of her neck gradually working his way up until he reached the back of her ear. She was waking up with a burning desire between her legs. She moaned and turned around to meet his lips with her own. Thanks to Andy her nightmares had finally reduced. It had been a night of peaceful sleep cradled in the arms of her lover. She wasn’t sure if she felt guilty about forgetting her brother but

Flying High

Andy Andy sat in his corner office on the top floor. The office had a view to die for. He had just returned from Ahmedabad where his company had sent him for a month-long executive leadership program at the Indian Institute of Management, the IIM, the top management institute of the country. He looked out of the glass walls at the distant Mula Mutha river snaking through the city in a steady stream. He was now a member of the Royal Connaught Boat Club too. The top of its majestic building was just about visible from his Southern window. He looked forward to the weekend with his boating buddies. It was good to be back. Lately, his team was giving him some trouble and he could feel the resentment affecting their work

Engaged

Anya (two days back) She had returned earlier than expected. Opening the door to Andy’s house with her spare key, she entered the living room and made a beeline for the kitchen. Andy would have left her favourite chai, the sweet tea latte in the flask. She loved how thoughtful he was. Regardless of the stress he was dealing with, he would always be mindful of her needs! Over the last few months his playfulness had consistently reduced due to the increasing pressures of his work life but he had not allowed that to affect his time spent with her. She poured herself the chai and curled up on the couch in the living ro

The Doha Surprise

Andy He stepped into the flight and was welcomed by a pair of smiling air-hostesses in their beautiful deep red, almost purple outfits. One of them held out her hand for his pass, inspected it to find his seat and escorted him inside. She asked for his baseball jacket, reached up on her toes and tucked it away in the rack. Andy could not help but notice how toned her body was. “My name is Aisha. Happy to have you on board. Enjoy your flight, Sir!”, she said as she caught his stare. Are they trained to make you feel welcome and maybe a little extra comfortable, or was Aisha flirting with him? He brushed the amusing thought away as she went away to serve the others. Andy sighed seeing the single seat with the purple and cream upholstery lining the window. It was early in the morning and it was still dark outside. The previous night he had been up packing and watching his sexy fiance sleep. He hated being away from her for so long. Especially because of her crazy, risky assignments.

Vacation Plans

Anya She looked at her phone as Andy disconnected, promising her to call back. It was past midnight and he would be reaching sometime in the morning. She might as well sleep. But she was super charged. She looked at their bedroom. It looked empty without Andy. It wasn’t like she hadn’t stayed here alone before, neither was it like Andy had never stayed away. He had been away for a month before this. Yet, knowing how far away he was made it all the more difficult for her. She missed her boyish boyfriend. She tapped at the back of her head, “No silly! Your fiance!” She said aloud to herself and beamed. She repeated the word fiance, letting her lips purse as the word rolled off her tongue. It sounded scary, scarier than the bullet that almost hit her today. But it was happy and scary, she loved the apprehension. She couldn’t believe that after being alone for a lifetime, she was blessed with such a loving partner who understood her work and the uncertainties that came with it. Ex
