CHAPTER FORTY-NINE
Magic was their only reasonable explanation and there was nothing any of them could do to change it. She wondered how the bulb worked. What if they wanted to turn it off?  Her question was answered when Justin flipped a switch. He had been looking at it for a while but found the courage to flip it. That must be the switch for the bulb. The bulb was okay but the standing fan was scaring her. What if it walked closer to them and ate them up. She gulped at the thought of that. She would stay far away from it. There were two bunk beds and a single bed at a corner. She went to the single bed. She was scared to stay on the bunk beds, especially the top one. How can there be a bed on top of another? That was bonkers.  Kale didn’t hesitate. She climbed up to the top of one of the bunker beds and began jumping on it.“I will not do that if I were you,” Josh warned. She stop

CHAPTER FIFTY
“I can get up by myself. Thank you very much. In our world we are very gentle and we do not scream.” He huffed, going back into the kitchen.Kale didn’t care. She sat on a chair and rubbed her hands in preparation for a delicious meal. The others did so and sat on the chairs, looking at their covered plates. There was water beside them and a folded napkin placed at the top of each glass cup. The setting was different from the normal one she knew. There was a neatly ironed table cloth on the table. The plates, cups, and food were placed on the table cloth, not directly on the table.  There was a vase of lilies placed in the middle of the table. The nice smell of them filled the air. Everything about the table setting was different but yet nice. Josh walked back to the dining room and cleaned up the broken plates. When he was finished, he joined them on the table. Josh gave Kale a scornful look be

“Where are my sleeves?”“Where did the mustache come from?”“Why do we have to wear matching shoes?”“Were you trying to kill me by giving me those shoes of death?”“Enough!” Josh’s scream made them stop talking. They were driving him crazy. “They are here and we are leaving now whether dressed or not dressed.”He was about to walk away but Kale stopped him. “Why not show us the way this time?” Kale said eyeing him. “Sure,” he answered giving her a fake but wicked smile. He led them out of the room. They were going in a different direction from the dining room. They wondered where he was leading them too. Angela didn’t like the pants she was wearing. They were tight but they were amazing on her and she knew it.  Miles and Alex had been admiring her from the moment she put them on

CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO
A princess? That was expected since most of the princesses he knew were beautiful. He didn’t know any princesses but his daughter was his little princess and she was the cutest thing ever. “My kingdom was destroyed and I need to save it but first we have to go into the spirit world and talk to the man that was able to put a spell on it, so I can have the chance to save it.”“Really?”“Yes and some people are trying to kill us!” Kale said blowing a big bubble that got stuck on her face. She had no idea how she did that but it was great. “Awesome!” she said licking the stuck chewing gum from her face. “Sounds like you guys are going on a real adventure.”Why was he calling them guys? They weren’t all guys. At least Kale and Angela were girls. Everyone in the room could see that. “More like a death sentence.” Miles scoffed. “

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE
She would do just that and she would get her son back from the monster. She recalled when she found him. Orphanages from around the world were showing her different babies and children younger than a year old. She wanted a son to make her look more befitting to be a Queen. She didn’t like the way people underestimated her but if she had a son, it would make things better. For three good days, she had not seen any young child or baby fit enough to mold into what she knew as—perfection. None of them were good enough for her. Some women were even handing over their own babies because she would pay a large amount of money to the owner of any baby she picked. Still, none satisfied her until she saw one. He was crawling out of the city. That was against the laws so they arrested the baby. Octavia didn’t want to waste time beheading the baby but when she saw his, she knew he was the

CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR
Justin rolled his eyes and continued. “Spirits of the dead we need your presence. Open the tunnel that will lead us to your essence.”Nothing happened. Justin remembered he had to say it with belief. He cleared his throat and said it again. "Spirits of the dead, we need your presence. Open the tunnel that will lead us to your essence." The ground shook under their feet. The shake was so vibrant and strong, it made them fall. They fell to their feet as the ground shook more and more. Black and grey clouds covered their heads, making everywhere and their vision darken by twentyfold. They couldn’t see well but the bolts of thunder and the flashes of lightning revealed a crack in the ground. It was small at first until it began to break and grow bigger. The crack began to cut and become wider. They screamed, running from the direction of the crack but it was as if the crack was followi

CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE
They walked on as they studied where they were. The tunnel was cool and had an eerie feeling. Most of them didn’t like how the tunnel made them feel but turning back was not an option. The walls of the caves were smooth, glossy, and black. Touching it was like placing your hand on the smoothest thing in the world.  Their noses were completely blocked. They couldn’t smell anything. Their smelling senses vanished since they went on the slide of terror. It either affected them in a way or was just how it was meant to be in the tunnel. The ground was wet. It wasn’t exactly wet but felt as if it was pre-sprinkled with water. There was no light to be seen. They had been using their inner eyes to differentiate the walls from the front. “Aha!” Louisa exclaimed, bringing her phone out of her pocket. There was no signal but that wasn’t what she needed right now. She switched

CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX
He was reasonably tall and smooth going. He didn’t look like a troublemaker. Even at his old age, Angela could say he was good looking. His hair had turned grey but the grey hair was shiny and stylish. His hair was made to a modern-day hairstyle. It really fitted him. He wore a Hawaii shirt and matching Hawaii shorts. He had put on loose flip flops.  Everyone took a seat, waiting for the next thing that would happen.  Angela felt as if she had a connection with this man. The way he looked at her was very familiar. Looking at his face alone, made her eyes spark with interest. He smiled, taking a sip of what he was drinking. He didn’t seem to enjoy it because he frowned a bit when drinking it. Then why drink it if you don’t understand it.Angela was sure she would never understand humans. Justin would understand since he claims to study humanity. Jonathan didn&

CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT
“The King is dead?” Jonathan asked, both surprised and happy. “Then who is ruling Pintraid. It cannot be his daughter, she is too young.”“She is the one ruling Pintraid. She made herself look older. Such a wicked person,” Alex said keeping his head bowed. He was obviously ashamed but not afraid to say it. “Did you know Alex is the Queen’s son?!”Everyone that didn’t know gasped in awe. They were with an enemy but that didn’t make any sense to them. The murmuring and whispering began. Tiana held her blade tighter pointing the sharp part at Alex. Angela turned to Miles harshly. He did not have to say that. They were already having problems of their own and he made it worse.  “I know. He has a good heart though. If not for the brainwashing effect affecting him, he will be the nicest person in the world.”Alex shook his
