Pierce’s Point of ViewLucarius was jumping around in my head all day, excited to go on a long run with our mate. He had already informed me that he had communicated with her wolf and her name was Shilo. I would love to put everything on the back burner and take Jadenne for her first run immediately but unfortunately, there were some rather pressing matters at hand. Before I took Jadenne back to the Half Moon pack to gather her belongings, I wanted some answers from the pathetic swine we were holding. I had linked with Felicity earlier to ask her if she would take Jadenne shopping so that she could get some clothes and I could finally get some answers. Of course, Felicity jumped at the chance to get to know my mate.I hated seeing my beautiful mate put on the torn clothes she had worn that night. Yet another reminder that I had failed to protect her. Walking up behind her, I can’t help but bend over and wrap my arms around her placing my head on top of hers. I don’t think I will ever

Pierce carried me up the stairs and into a room that I had not been in before. I quickly assumed from the scent that it was his actual bedroom. Pierce gently pushed the door shut with his foot. Once the latch clicked, Pierce bent his head down and inhaled deeply, pressing his nose against my collarbone and neck.“I could smell your arousal bunny.” His husky words brought a deep blush to my face, but I could not deny the truth as another wave of heat spread down my body. Pierce captured my lips swiftly with his in a hard, demanding kiss that only fanned the heat flowing through my body. I wrapped my arms around his neck, pulling him in deeper and inviting his tongue into my mouth. I moaned into his mouth as his tongue danced with mine. Pierce broke the kiss long enough to move us towards the large bed that was against the wall. He gently put me down on the bed.I kicked my shoes off quickly and started to scoot back on the bed but Pierce stopped my movements. He unbuttoned my jeans and

Pierce’s Point of View I followed Emery into my father’s study and saw that he was already waiting for us. He poured drinks for Emery and me. That was my first clue that he had news that he knew I would not take very well. He wasted no time getting to the point.“Let me first congratulate you on finding your fated mate son. Having a mate is a true blessing and I hope that you both find happiness with each other.” Emery and I grabbed our glasses as my father made his toast. “Now, we need to get down to business. Pierce, I understand that you have already questioned the prisoner. Your brother has informed me that, according to the prisoner, Julie was involved in the incident concerning your mate. As Emery has already told you, this raises some serious concerns.” My father placed his glass down on his desk before taking a seat. “We are placed in a rather precarious position. From what I understand, Julie is not only Robert’s daughter but also the mate to the young Alpha Nathan of the Go

Pierce’s Point of ViewI hated leaving Jadenne. I could feel her confusion and hurt through the mate bond. If I was being honest this whole ordeal has me reeling and completely frustrated. Granted I had never really worried about having a mate before, but now that I do all I want to do is protect her, and yet I seem to be failing miserably.“William their treatment of her must be answered for, I demand it.” My mother was standing in front of my father’s desk with her hands on her hips tapping her foot as if he was a pertinent child she caught in the cookie jar. If the entire statement had not been about my mate, I may have found the situation funny. My father sighed deeply sitting in his chair and putting his hands over his face. “Castine sit down please. I understand that you are upset, but right at the moment we have a few situations that need to be discussed.” He was trying to placate her. My mother listened though and sat down and my father filled her in on the information that Em
