OLIVIA.Two hours. That's how long we've been standing here. I had taken a walk and a seat occasionally but Davion was still too busy with the other guests to notice or even pay attention to me. My feet were hurting and I could barely walk in these heels anymore. I was tired and everything seemed to somehow exhaust me.The party was a fun one but I wasn't feeling it anyone. I looked way out of league. Everyone looked good while I looked like a wet puppy that had just been picked from the pond and put on a display to find a home. I wasn't cut out to be here and to make matters worse, Davion wasn't even talking to me. He wasn't even paying me the slightest bit of attention.I just couldn't wait to go back home to a hot cup of water and a water massage in a bathtub to flex my muscles that had gone stiff. I always thought that a secretary's job was easy but that was until I started working for Davion. Everything about him seemed to operate on a high level of stress that I just couldn't u

DAVION.Furious!I was furious and I wouldn't even try to hide it. I thought that my anger with her earlier would knock some sense into her but boy was I wrong on all four levels. Couldn't she read between the signs? Why was she constantly making my life difficult? The more I tried to understand it, the harder it gets. And to think that I had found her in such compromising situation.I knew that it was my fault. I left her there all alone when I shouldn't have. The party was too demanding and I didn't have the time to keep tabs on her even though I really wanted to do it. I can't believe that she went out with him of all people.I'd make sure to sue him and his company when I have the chance. He had crossed the line and I wouldn't let it go on like this. How dare he?I had been so upset and so fucking pissed when I saw her talking to him. I was trying my utmost best to wrap up the party so that we could leave but the next minute I tried to find her, she was gone and no where to be fo

OLIVIA."Your house? Why your house?" Olivia asked when davion took a right turn in the opposite direction. She was confused and utterly speechless. He hadn't told her that they will be going to his house. He only told her that he will be dropping her off at her place so why was he suddenly suggesting that he drove her to his house?"I already told you we have to get your wound dressed and also apply some ointment on it and I doubt if you have any at home because the last time you said you haven't stocked it up yet." Came his swift reply. His eyes never leaving the road as though they were glued on them."You don't have to do that for me Davion. I can manage plus it's just an injury, it's not as if it's the end of the world or an apocalypse.""Say whatever you want to say. It still doesn't come close to changing my mind. You're going home with me and that's final." He took a U-turn and the next thing I knew we were on the highway driving to an unknown destination. I have never been t

DAVION.I arrived at my bedroom and carefully took off all my clothes. I proceeded to listen to my shoes and discarded it. When I was done, I settled for a pair of shorts and a white tank top and after sliding my feet into a pair of flip-flops at the corner, I grabbed the first aid kit from my drawer and made my way downstairs towards Olivia.I found her roaming about the sitting room. She looked quite shocked and fascinated as her fingers grazed through the pictures and paintings on the wall. I wouldn't blame her though my house was ranked one of the biggest houses in the States. From where I stood I can see how invested she was in trying to figure out a thing or two for herself. She was the first woman I have ever brought to my home. I wasn't the type to flirt and joke around with women but I don't know why I am taking a strange liking to her in the first place.Just watching her filled me with all sorts of emotions all at once. My only wish was that she would learn to see me diffe

OLIVIA.We finished having dinner but I still couldn't get my mind off what Davion had just said. Even though I didn't want to admit it he was right on so many levels. I have just been hurting myself unnecessarily. Clinton doesn't care about me and no matter what I do or who I hate, the fact still remains that we are divorced and there was nothing I could do about it.He had hurt me and I must have been foolish enough to put my life on hold because of his own mistakes. I wasn't even at fault so why should I bear the consequences for his own actions? why should I carry his troubles along with mine? All these while, I had been blaming myself for what had gone on between us. I kept on telling myself that maybe, just maybe if I had put in a little more effort, if I had tried to be the perfect wife that he wanted me to be then we wouldn't have gotten to where we are now but that wasn't the case at all.The fact of the matter is that I still couldn't move on from everything that has happe
