*** Silas’ POV *** I stood in the doorway watching as Charles put Nate’s duffle in his Jeep. Sam was standing next to the driver’s side door, arms crossed. Nate was talking to him, trying to calm him down after he worked himself up again. He was still upset, not so much that he was leaving alone, just that Nate wouldn’t fight me on it.It was odd all around. It had been for a while now. Nate’s notebook lay open on my desk. I’d read through it this morning before having him sit down to pry an opinion out of him. As I flipped through the book, I got more and more irritated. He gave me exactly what I asked for and literally nothing else.The first few pages were the back and forth between him and Alpha Andrew. Nate wrote a note that it seemed like he wasn’t too keen on being close with our pack because of the alliances we kept. Opening my eyes, I blinked as I took in my surroundings. I was on the floor. My back was against a wall and bars surrounded me. I was in the dungeon. When Nate showed us the underground dungeon, it was a stretch of the word. It looked way nicer than anything I had ever seen. He’d also added fortifications to everything and even added more space where we would have space to set up for information extraction.
