Broken Halo のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

Malakai waited for about 15 minutes until Alec's car pulled up beside him. He greeted Alec and got into the passenger seat. "Eden really took your car huh?" Alec said while trying not to laugh. "This isn't funny. You know I don't like anyone touching my car." Malakai said, rolling his eyes. His car was his prized possession and Eden just took the keys right out of his hands. "I don't know if I can tell you about Eden. I mean it's really not my place, but she had an ex boyfriend that used to control her all the time, and would even abuse Eden. It was only mentally and verbally at the beginning but it became physical. He used to control what Eden would wear, where she would go, who she would do with. All down to what Eden would eat. She never left him because she was scared of what he would do, since he threatened a lot of things. In the end she did though, thanks to her cousin." Alec said. Alec explained the story, he didn't go into too much detail since it really wasn't his pla

She left her apartment in Malakai's car and arrived at the agency in 10 minutes. God she loved this car, she really wanted to keep it but she knew she couldn't. She had to return it at some point, but only when Malakai asked for it. "I'm really tempted to steal your laptop." Eden said when she walked in. All Malakai ever did was work, and she didn't even know what. The actual work his agents did so what did Malakai do except receive missions. "I'd love to see you try." Malakai said, looking up to the blond. Eden came and sat down on Malakai's desk trying to see what the older man was doing. "You don't understand a thing do you?" Malakai asked when he saw the clear confusion on his face. Eden just shook her head. "They're files. Of a hundred different things. Orders I've given, bills, finances. Even agents' files, I have your file somewhere here but I can't seem to find it." Malakai said and when he saw Eden trying to reach for his laptop, he shut it. "I just wanna see my fil

"Thank god." Malakai sighed with a smile and Eden was confused.  "What do you mean thank god?" Eden's arms went around Malakai's neck and with every second, the two somehow found a way to become even closer.  "I really shouldn't tell you. I'm his best friend and he's entrusted me with a piece of information that is to remain classified." Eden rolled her eyes at Malakai's professionalism on this topic of all things.  "I can gladly leave." Eden said, but she didn't mean it but still she was starting to get off Malakai's lap until the other pulled her back.  "I'll tell you, but you can't disclose it and you can't show that you know. And we'll talk about you rolling your eyes at me again, even though I'm pretty sure I already warned you." Malakai said

Malakai's room had black walls, no surprise, grey and black furniture. The walls had a ombré effect, it's started from black at the top to grey to silver and white near the floor. There was a large double bed that had a cushioned grey headboard, and silk sheets. There were also double glass doors that led out to a balcony. And finally a walk in closet. The whole room screamed Malakai, it was just him. "I can just go home." Eden said but she'll admit, if she drove there was an 80% chance she'd crash. She was so tired. "You're in no state to drive Eden, it's fine. I'll go to the guest room if it makes you more comfortable." Malakai said but Eden stopped him from leaving. "No it's okay, you can sleep in your own room, Malakai." Eden said nervously. Malakai noticed how Eden didn't offer to sleep in the guest room that Malakai pointed out, instead she wanted to stay in here and wanted Malakai to stay in here too. It made Malakai smile, but he had to hide it. "Okay, go to sleep ba

"You don't need to worry Kai, I promise. I moved on from him years ago and if I moved on so easily then, was there even love in the first place. Because if there was I wouldn't have moved on when I did. I don't want you to be scared that I'm gonna leave. I'm staying, believe me." Eden assured and caressed Malakai's black locks with her left hand and caressed his face with her right. It was understandable that Malakai would be worried about losing her, to his ex of all people, it was normal that he was scared. There was a history and Alec was trying to win her back. But rest assured, Eden had closed that chapter in her book. Her chapter with Malakai had started. "What did I do to deserve you? It couldn't have been anything good since I run a criminal underground but maybe in my past life." Eden laughed and Malakai smiled at the music that came from Eden. "Come on, I'm going to take you somewhere today." Malakai said and helped Eden off the island. "Where?" Eden asked as she was
