Although it has been only two days since Jamie promised to find her a position at the Plaza, Emma was growing rather impatient. Her heart was refusing to rest from all the anxious beating, awaiting some good news just as she was. Much to her dismay, Jamie scarcely gave her any time these past couple of days. He left before she woke up and would only return when she was fast asleep. Jamie was a rather reserved person in general, but lately, it looked like he was making extra effort to avoid encountering her.
