When Roxanne was six, Martha brought her over to our house. She kneeled in front of my mother and begged tremblingly, "I'm willing to forgo my salary, Mrs. Wright. In exchange, I hope you can allow Roxanne to attend school with Ms. Violet. You're a mother too, so you know how I feel."Oakley Academy is too expensive. A housekeeper like me can never afford to pay the tuition, but I know you can. I've heard about the scholarships you provide to other children. Well, you can easily provide one to Roxanne too, right?"Martha made Roxanne kneel with her until Roxanne's knees turned black and blue. Mom could never stand seeing a child suffer, so after Martha's "heartfelt" pleading, she caved and agreed to it.From then on, Roxanne moved in with my family. I pitied her family background, so I readily gave her my allowance and luxury items. As a result, everyone else thought she was also the daughter of a wealthy family. She allowed that to get to her head, and over time, she seemed to have

Benjamin could barely contain his glee when he saw that the commenters were taking his side.Dissatisfied with being a mere manager at Hall Enterprise, his family's company, he had started a new company of his own and was currently trying to promote it. Thus, he used his company's social media account to create the livestream. That way, he could promote himself at my expense.A hint of a smile crept over his face when he saw a message from his assistant informing him of the steady rise in the company's stock price. He thought he had won this round. It was precisely during his smug celebration that it was time for me to pull him down.First, I made a call. Then, I donated 30 dollars to Benjamin's livestream, ensuring that he could see my comment."Don't bother coming after me. Why don't you deal with your matters first?"As soon as I popped up in the livestream, countless people flooded both my posts and my private messages with insulting remarks. All these self-righteous people ca

Even when Benjamin was released from police custody, he returned to nothing but trouble.Jerome barely had any money, but that didn't stop him from continuing to act like the spoiled brat he was. He sat around all day expecting Roxanne and Martha to wait on him.All the tabloids were now reporting on the truth of what happened at the birthday celebration. They even published the list of all the things I had given Roxanne throughout the years. In order to receive the bonus I offered, the paparazzi wrote their heart out, hoping that their article would be the one to grab everyone's attention. Each headline and article was more scandalous than the next. The ones I saw included, "Benjamin Hall Publicly Defends Mistress While Rebuking Fiancée", "Childhood Sweethearts Turned Adopted Siblings, Jerome Wright's Latest Obstacle in Love", and "The Fake Socialite With Three Ardent Admirers Was a Thief Who Stole the Real Heiress' Gown".The entire online community now knew about Roxanne's sit

Jerome felt his blood turn cold. What could be more crushing than to realize the woman he loved had been playing him for a fool all along? When I saw Jerome abandoning the phone with the livestream exiting from his dark hiding spot, I knew that the evidence I got the private investigator to send to Jerome had been put to good use."Benjamin, have you slept with Roxanne?" Jerome questioned bluntly.Instantly, Benjamin's expression turned awkward. As he glanced toward the phone, he asked in a lowered voice, "What the hell is going on with you now? I thought we agreed to get rid of Violet once and for all?"He thought the phone was too far away to record what he said, but unfortunately for him, I had several wiretaps on me. Every word that came out of his mouth was concrete evidence that could be used against him. When Jerome lost his temper, he couldn't care less about anything else. He stormed up to Benjamin and grabbed him by the collar before questioning loudly, "I asked you if y
