Alle Kapitel von His Heart Beats For Zoe: Kapitel 1 – Kapitel 10

Zoe Powers stood outside Ainsoft, arms crossed, foot tapping impatiently against the pavement. This company was her family’s last hope. If her father couldn’t convince Ainsoft to invest in Powers Corp, their business—the one her father had struggled to build all these years would collapse. She exhaled sharply, rubbing her arms against the cool breeze. Her father had insisted she wait outside, saying he needed to handle the meeting alone. But after standing here for over an hour, she was starting to get restless. She was just about to call him when a sleek black sports car screeched to a stop in front of her.She barely had time to step back before the driver’s door swung open, and a man stepped out.Tall. Sharp-jawed. Dressed in an expensive suit that screamed luxury. His entire presence screamed money and arrogance. He didn’t even glance at her. Just pulled off his sunglasses and tossed his car keys in her direction.“Finally,” he muttered. “You’re late.”Zoe caught the keys before t

Adonis leaned back in his chair, swirling the whiskey in his glass as he studied his grandmother. “You dragged me here this late just to talk about marriage?”Lana smiled, unfazed. “I’ve found the perfect woman for you.”He exhaled sharply, setting his glass down with a thud. “Perfect? According to whose standards?”“Mine.” She sipped her tea gracefully. “She’s a therapist.”Adonis raised an eyebrow. “A therapist?”“A five-star one,” Lana said proudly. He scoffed. “And what, you think I need therapy?”Lana folded her hands on the table. “You need a wife.”“I already have a woman.”“Abigail?” Lana rolled her eyes. “That gold digger is not a woman, she’s an expense.”Adonis smirked. “I don’t recall asking for your opinion on my love life.”“Well, you didn’t ask for my money either, but you’re spending it just fine.” Lana shot back.He narrowed his eyes. “I run Ainsoft. I earn my damn money.”“Then prove it.” She leaned in. “Your brother is in therapy. He can’t handle the company. If you

When they arrived at Adonis’ villa, Zoe couldn’t believe her eyes. It was massive—elegant, modern, and screaming wealth. Everything about it, from the towering gates to the sleek architecture, showed just how rich he was.Zoe stepped out of the car, looking around. “You live here?”Adonis barely glanced at her as he adjusted his cufflinks. “You sound shocked.”“I knew you were rich, but this?”“Because I am a billionaire,” he said dryly, walking toward the entrance.Inside, Zoe immediately noticed the rose petals leading up the stairs, candles flickering softly, setting a romantic ambiance.Adonis sighed, rubbing his temples. “Gran has way too much time on her hands.”Zoe smirked. “She clearly wanted to make our wedding night special.”“Yeah, by turning my house into a honeymoon suite,” he muttered.Zoe crossed her arms, looking around. “So… are we supposed to sleep together?”Adonis scoffed. “What do you think?”She shrugged. “Well, we are married now.”He turned to her with a smirk.

Adonis came out of the bathroom a few minutes later, towel-drying his hair. Zoe, still sitting on the bed, hadn’t noticed him at first. When she looked up, her eyes widened in surprise. He was standing there, dripping wet, with just a towel wrapped around his waist. As he dried his hair, the towel slipped from his hips and fell to the floor.Zoe quickly looked away, her cheeks turning red. “What are you doing?” she stammered.Adonis smirked, his tone casual. “Do I need permission to be naked in front of my wife?”Zoe swallowed hard, still avoiding his gaze. “But still…”Adonis shrugged, nonchalant. “I don’t need your permission, Zoe. Just getting dressed.”Zoe, her heart racing, kept her face turned away. But then, despite herself, her eyes wandered back to him. She saw him fully, his body strong and defined. Her breath caught in her throat, but she quickly looked away again, trying to focus.“I should go take a shower too,” she said, still not looking at him.Adonis grinned, still st

The flight to Paris was smooth, but Zoe barely spoke to Adonis the entire time. She kept her focus on the book in her hands, even though she wasn’t really reading. Every now and then, he would glance at her, probably expecting her to say something, but she never did. When they landed, a chauffeur was already waiting to take them to their hotel. Adonis stretched as they stepped outside, breathing in the fresh air.“Paris,” he said, looking around. “Romantic, isn’t it?”Zoe gave a small nod, not meeting his gaze.Adonis chuckled. “You’re awfully quiet. Excited?”She turned to him with a blank look. “Just tired.”He watched her for a moment but didn’t push further. Instead, he helped her into the car, and they headed to their hotel.Their suite was breathtaking—huge windows overlooking the Eiffel Tower, a luxurious king-sized bed, and a cozy sitting area. But Zoe barely took it in. She placed her bag down and walked straight to the bedroom.“Zoe,” Adonis called after her, “aren’t you goi
