Chapter 11Freya's Pov I felt frozen, my heart racing, as he approached the table. His piercing blue eye scanned the room, while the other was covered by sleek, and beautiful dark hair, and when his gaze locked onto mine, I felt a shiver run down my spine. His gaze held me captive, and I couldn't look away. He was imposing, with broad shoulders and chiseled features. His dark hair was perfectly styled, and his sharp jawline seemed carved from granite.Majestically, he took his seat at the head of the table, and the silence had never felt so overbearing.I felt like a small prey, trapped in the presence of a predator. His electric eyes never left mine, and I sensed a power emanating from him, a power that made me feel tiny and insignificant. After what felt like an eternity, he spoke, his deep voice commanding attention. "So, you're the one I saved from the woods." I swallowed, and nodded, unable to respond. My words were caught in my throat, from his soul-boring gaze, which made me

Freya's Pov I walked further, and it seemed like I was already in a tunnel, Although, I had no idea of where I was heading to, but with what they say; “There is light at the end of a tunnel.” Hopefully, that the light would lead me to a better place than here.I had had it in mind to run far from here, and probably go somewhere really far to start a new life, and do anything I want, but since I had just discovered that someone was after Logan’s life which could also affect Xaden, I had to at least, warn him about it.This particular Alpha, seemed to be really dangerous, but if Logan was very well prepared, there was a high chance he would be able to defeat them, whenever they came, especially if it was going to be a war, they would rage on them, without letting them know of it.I could see rays of light, which meant I was close to the end of the tunnel, and that made me feel excited and happy. On getting closer to the end of the tunnel, my heart became heavy as my eyes beheld what I

Freya's Pov Fear rippled through me like the waves on the sea, and I began to run in the dark, adrenaline rushing through me, and filling my brain with danger signs. My heart seemed to beat in my throat, wanting to burst out, and finally, I stumbled.“Ah!” I screamed from the pain and the fear that I would suddenly feel something heavy and menacing land on my back. I gasped and struggled to get to my feet, and that's when I realized I had stumbled on the staircase. With relief mingled with terror, I began to climb, using my hands and legs. I got to the very top, and pushed… “Ah…” I cried as the floorboard came open, revealing light. Immediately, I hoisted myself onto it, and tumbled into the room, hurriedly sealing the floorboard shut. Why wasn't there some kind of lock to it? What if the creature came bounding up the stairs in search of me, and leaped against the floorboard? What would happen when I was locked in the room when it came?A new wave of dread filled me up. If the C

Freya's Pov My hands and legs flailed helplessly, as the water joined hands with the force of gravity to pull me down. Water got into my nose, mouth, and ears, and it was a very horrible feeling as I plummeted downwards, unable to even scream, unable to cough, unable to choke, just getting rained down by the powerful water. My hands fought to grab anything I could find, just anything as my heart seemed to want to tear right out of my chest. But all that happened was my hands sailing right through the water, unable to grab anything. The fear suddenly seemed like a real creature threatening to devour me alive. It was a force on its own, and it felt like I would die of the fear before the rocks got to me.Finally, I crashed into the dark water, plunging deep with the speed at which I had been falling.I felt my whole body freeze. It was damn cold! The feeling left my fingers and toes, and they felt numb, so numb that I couldn't begin to differentiate my index from my middle finger. T

"What are you sorry for?” Freya asked, looking baffled.“Child, it's a long story, but all we can tell you is that when we found you, we decided to use you as a test experiment.” The granny said, and sniffled.“A test experiment? I don't understand.”“Our girl is cursed, and we have heard of the Mystic Realm where people's curses can be lifted, but we needed to be certain that our girl will come back alive, and that it's safe for her to go. So, we put you under a curse that can't be revoked by us. Your only hope is the Mystic Realm.” The granny revealed to her.As she said that, a portal whirled open, making the leaves around to dance in rhythm to the wind’s power from the portal.“Oh, my goodness. So, you mean you cursed me? How do I get home? I need to get home!” Freya cried out, beginning to regret that she ever stepped out of the redemption pack.“You can't. You'll continue to be haunted, and it will get worse daily. Before it does, it's best you find the solution. We'll know if y
