Conflicted - Twist of Fate. のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 21 - チャプター 30

As I come to reality my hand reaches for his cheek, my mind in a haze as I feel everything, the connection not completely faded yet, the sense of how I am making him feel is strong. The way my hand feels on his skin. The hope he feels that I'm not scared of him or repulsed by him anymore. Hesitation that he may scare me as he freezes under my touch. I also feel his lust mixing with mine as it slams into me, taking my breath away as my body aches for his touch. My heat blazes stronger than ever as I pull him into the restroom I had just left. All sense of reason gone as I allow myself to surrender to my desires. I lock the door and instantly pull his face to mine, the sparks instantly returning stronger than ever. His tongue meets mine with the taste exploding in my mouth. My underwear are soaked in seconds as my body screams for release. The scent of my arousal cannot be hidden; I see his eyes darken as he smells it and his mouth goes to my neck kissing along our most sacred place

As I leave the bathroom, I realise how much time has passed. Everyone is sitting down, the dinner has started. Well this is going to be awkward. As I find my seat next to Aiden the table is quiet. Leon & Ethan looking down at their food. Leon's expression filled with pain, while Ethan looks worried and also very tense. I watch Aiden as he looks up and tries to smile. I see the pain behind every movement. "I'm sorry Aiden, I can't" I shake my head. Knowing they've already figured it out. "I have too" he nods understanding. Leon stands, banging the table as he walks out of the room. Anger radiating from the alpha as he feels my rejection. Ethan stands to follow, a small sad smile on his face. "We can't blame you for wanting your destined mates, Armina, but becoming the Luna of the Eclipse pack, it does make you our enemy" he shakes his head, Aiden growling at his last word. Ethan just looks to Aiden, a dark expression covering his face as he turns his back. Walking away too.

We make our way back to my mates rooms. Choosing not to expose Aiden to any PDA as he comes to terms with our choice. As we walk I feel feel my mates emotions clearly, our growing bond shutting down any barriers I have in place. Nathanial is nothing but happiness and love while Tristan is a mix of awe; happiness and anxiousness. I know how he feels as I feel the exact same. I am sure of my decision, knowing the coming months will not be easy but Aurora and I know these men are our soul mates. Our destiny. Selena was right. They deserved a chance, they were as far from the man who created them as possible. They were everything he wasn't, I am so relieved I discovered that before I threw the bond away. The danger lurking with Ethan's crusade is fresh in all of our minds. The thought that he only cared for me and Aiden when he believed my powers would be used to his advantage has Aurora and I enraged. So much for pack loyalty. How sad it is that he would turn his back on h

Connor keeps speeding until a gorgeous house, that looks like a palace comes into view. Standing several stories high and instantly taking my breath away. The mansion has a rustic look, yet beautiful in every way possible. Fire lanterns fill the yard, casting a mystical light onto the gardens which thrive with different flowers and roses in perfectly kept beds. The glow surrounding this pack house is surprising considering the dark history of this pack. Aiden's anxiety fills me, causing my heart to spike with his. I reach for his hand again, which he instantly squeezes. His eyes alert as he looks around the pack grounds. I can't imagine the thoughts going through his mind right now and if I want to keep control of my emotions I need to keep my thoughts and emotions separate from his. Connor slows the car to a stop as several men rush to the car. Nathanial opens his door, halting his men from coming too close, his aura and body language showing a clear message. Keep your

I make my way down the hall, actively trying not to listen to the continued conversation between Aiden and Nathanial. They needed their own time to connect and develop trust, while I needed a break from pack talk. As I reach the end of the hall I can easily smell which room belongs to each of my mates, their scents strong even in the hallway. I pause. Nathanial is here, meaning he could join me in bed when the conversation is done. I could fall asleep in the arms of my mate and possibly have the dull ache between my legs satisfied. They almost has me turning to the left, but I stop. My worry for Tristan is still strong, even with him reassuring me that he is okay and will see me soon. I won't feel completely at ease until I see him for myself. Being surrounded by his scent is an invitation I cannot resist. I turn to the right and open the door, stepping inside before I can change my mind and decide with my body instead of my mind. His room is large, but kept simple. A l
