I sent a message to my parents, telling them that I would be home in three days. I also told them I was going to return all the pain Yale Salvatore had caused me.That means vanishing from his world, so that he can never find me again. After sending the message, my tears kept falling uncontrollably. My mind was filled with memories of the time when Yale and I were preparing for our wedding. He told me he wanted to give me a wedding I would never forget. So, he booked a venue by the seaside. Then, he personally took part in planning the entire setup. He even helped to decorate the venue—from the flowers on stage to the wedding poster design.I was filled with joy and anticipation while waiting for my wedding day to arrive. However, what came instead was the stage collapsing, followed by a fire that destroyed everything on site. All I had left was a charred engagement ring. My child wasn't even born yet, but he had already lost his father. When I learned the news, I was so heartbroken I

I arrived at the hospital and waited for my number to be called. While waiting, Gwen sent me a video.I knew I shouldn't watch it, and I should just delete it. However, I couldn't help but take a look. The video began to play. Gwen was straddling Yale and kissing his neck. He held her head in his hands and looked to be enjoying her kisses. The moans in the video stabbed at my heart. It hurt so much. Then, Yale flipped them over. Pinning Gwen under him, he kissed her.I could see a faint purplish pentagram-shaped birthmark on his back. In that moment, my world collapsed.Only Yale had that birthmark. There was no way I could be mistaken. If I still held onto any delusions before, then this birthmark was undeniable proof of his deception.Feeling a faint movement in my belly, I decided to give Yale one more chance.I called him. If he rushed over and told me the truth, I would choose to forgive him for the child's sake. I would forgive everything he had done—the lies, the staged death, a

Yale's Point of View. When I regained consciousness, Kent's face was pale. His voice trembled when he spoke. He handed me photos of the accident that the police had sent.I saw Sasha's half-burned passport, her wristwatch, and the necklace she had been wearing when she left the house that day. There was also a pair of scorched high heels and a medical report confirming that the victim's DNA matched Sasha's.These were all proof that she was dead, but I refused to believe it.How could this have happened? She had been perfectly fine when she had left the house earlier this evening. How could she be dead?I couldn't accept the truth. My eyes rolled back, and I fainted once more. When I came to again, it was already daylight.I sent people to the scene again and again to comb for clues—anything that might prove the victim wasn't Sasha. However, the home surveillance footage showed her getting into a black sedan. And the highway footage caught that same car engulfed in flames.Every

As Yale watched the video clips, his expression darkened with every passing second. In the first video, Gwen was seen bribing a doctor to falsify her medical records. The second video was the one she had sent me. It was of them being intimate. It also clearly showed the distinctive birthmark on his back.In the third, Gwen was smugly taunting me. She also openly admitted she wasn't ill at all.The last video was from the day I had left. It was a recording of me running into Gwen in the hallway and then her falsely accusing me of attacking her. These videos proved how foolish Yale had been. He had believed Gwen, and to fulfill her so-called dying wish, he had hurt me.Overcome with rage and frustration, Yale kicked over a chair in anger. Then, he roared for Gwen.A few moments later, his guards dragged Gwen in. Before anyone could speak, Yale kicked her in the stomach repeatedly. His face was twisted with fury."How dare you lie to me? Aren't you supposed to be close to death? W
