LILA “Ahhhhhh,”I scream when I see the bald spot on my head.Oh shit, I heard about cancer chemotherapy causing balding but i thought i still had time.“Luna Kayla, are you okay?!” My maid’s eyes widen when she notices my bald spot.“Luna let me help you -”“Oh shut up. What are you going to do, glue the hair back on my head?” I furrow my brows.“What’s going on here, why are you screaming like a mad woman?” Sebastian storms into the bathroom.Oh goddess I hate this man!“My hair is falling off and i don’t know-”Sebastian rolls his eyes,”is that why you won’t let us have peace? You are not the first person to have cancer. Use the black card I gave you and get some wigs!”SEBASTIAN For some weird reason I feel a little pity for her and it makes me irritated in myself. She somehow looks pretty even with the balding.Eww! What is happening to me?This is just a contract, nothing will come out of this, I remind myself as I head over to the gym to blow off some stream.“Alpha, you said

LILA“Oh shit we’re in trouble,” I rasp but before I know it, Nic has transported us back to the mansion.“Darling you underestimate me too much,” he scoffs.“Ugh, don’t mind me, I was just scared.”“It’s okay girl, just get some rest. It’s been a long day. I’ll get the file to Galvin,” he kissed me on my cheek and headed to his room.Once I get into my room, I quickly change into sleep wear, do my skincare and remove my wig.Immediately I lay in bed, Sebastian steps into the room and I pretend like I’m sick, not ready to face him because of how weird this night was.I fall asleep then wake up three hours later to the grumble of my stomach.“Ow!” I rub my tummy running to the bathroom.I start vomiting all the contents of my stomach.Gosh I hate this sickness.Sebastian enters the bathroom and holds my hair for me, “Easy,” he grumbles. Why is he even helping me? Goddess,I’m too weak to even push him away “Drink this,” he shoves the cup into my hands.Ahhh, it’s because he thinks I w

LILA“Surprise !!” Voices yell and the blindfold is pulled off my body.“Huh, what’s going on here? You guys scared me for a second !” I gasp. All around me are my bestfriend, Cousin, Nina grandma, Charlie and even some of the maids in a party room.“Don’t be too shocked silly, we noticed how down you have been and decided to put together something for you!” Andrea hugs me but i don’t miss her whisper.“It’s just a distraction for Galvin, I’ll explain later.”I giggle,” oh wow, this is so beautiful guys, you didn’t have to!”“Oh don’t say that dear, we just want you to have a little bit of fun,” Nina winks.I am so proud of myself for managing to become close to them all because it would be easier to have my revenge now.We play hide and seek, dancing games and stuff our faces with candy until we are tired.“Girl, so are you going to tell me what this is about?” I pull Andrea to the balcony. “Galvin needed to get them all distracted, he didn’t say much but it’s going to help our plan

LILA“What is going on here !” I screech when I finally regain my sight.“I’m sorry Luna, it’s the wards guarding the Academy!” The driver apologizes. You’ve got to be kidding me! He drives us into the entrance where a petite smiling lady welcomes me .“What a pleasure it is to meet you Luna Kayla, you are very welcome to our prestigious Academy !”she hugs me tight.“Thank you,” I force a smile.“Oh, it’s no problem, I am your principal Mrs Louise but you can just call me Lucy !” Ugh why is she so cheery, Koko murmurs as she takes us to our room.“Don’t worry, I know about your illness and we have made arrangements for your doctor to arrive this night.” She looks at me with pity and I want to smack that stupid look off her face.“Thousands of packs have trusted us with their Lunas all over the world and we bring out the best in them!” She claps. I’m escorted into my room that is basically a princess chamber where a maid awaits me.“Welcome Luna Kayla, I am your personal mid Lola.”

Chapter 25

LILA“Ahhh, let me out of here!” I scream pushing the door.I hear Angels mocking laughter. “Not going to happen bitch ! After you and your husband killed my extended family you’re going to suffer for it!”I don’t even know what she’s talking about and I’m sure I’ve never met her family before, all I know is these women just like to see me suffer.“Angel, I don't know what you’re talking about. Just open the door and we can talk calmly.”“Hahaha! Luna Kayla, you’re so bold. You may be feared in your pack but not here. I run this place and, after your husband hired assassins to kill my cousin and his family, you want me to play nice?”Oh…. So it’s about Galvin.“Angel I swear, I didn't even know it was going to happen !”“Too late for that, enjoy the night in the closet, try not to die !” She bangs the room door shut.I can understand her pain but the fact that the other women allow her to get away with this means they are all on her side and I have no allies.I sigh but I don't stop

Chapter 26

LILAIn a second four big women walk into the room and two grip my hands tightly.“Let me go! What do you think you are doing ?” I scream.“Be calm Luna Kayla, you don’t want to attract attention ! Now if you cooperate with us everything will go well,” Headmistress Lucy warns. They grip me so tightly that it starts to hurt, they don’t even care that I’m sick.“Ow you’re hurting me!” I gasp but the ladies don’t listen.Next thing i know, they spread my hands and put books on my head.“Now here’s how it works. If you fall one book, you get a smack on your back and it could go on forever so be careful,” she rolls her eyes. They place seven books on my head and I fall immediately from the weight.Girl, we are already weak, we can’t handle this. Koko gasps.“Please stop!” I scream when they smack my back.“Then be a good Luna and hold these books well, they will improve your posture.”My body shivers but I manage to stay with the books for my head for ten minutes and when the timer is abou

Chapter 27

LILA“Ahhh!” Why is there so much smoke in this room? I cough.I walk into my closet against my maid’s wishes and I’m shocked at what I see.“Lola! What happened to my dresses ?”“I…i don’t know Luna. I came in to pick your dress for the Gala and met them burnt,” she wails. What the hell! Who could have done this ?“Hahaha, it’s pay back time bitch, you thought you would win at wrestling and get away with it?” Angel mocks .My anger boils and I feel Koko threatening to strangle her .“Let me go, I will handle this crazy lady!” I growl when Lola and the makeup artist hold me back.“Oh there is no need for a fight, I will design something for you quickly !” Cierra, my mom's witch friend, enters my room and locks the door.“No need to make a scene!” she smiles and in a second she has cleaned up the mess and I’m wearing a beautiful red ball dress.•••SEBASTIAN ”Alpha it’s almost time for the event at the Royal Luna Academy,” My Beta Dryden announces.“Tell the chauffeur to get the car

LILAI wake up with a throbbing sensation in my head and try to sit up but groan from the excess light coming from the window.“Arghhh, it’s too bright.”Cierra sighs, “I know dear, but you need the morning sun.”“What happened ?” I l murmur, not recognizing my surroundings. The last thing i remember is doing Angel’s laundry.“Oh dear, it was your sickness, the chemotherapy side effects are getting stronger and I’m scared that I won't be able to do much to help. It’s just too strong and I don't want you to just die like your parents,” Cierra sniffs.I swallow my words and force a smile, “you don’t need to cry Cierra, I’m still here okay?”Even if I won't be here in two years, I didn't want her to focus on that.SEBASTIAN For some stupid reason I cannot get the sight of Kayla in that red dress out of my mind.“Alpha, did you hear me?”“Yes,go ahead.”I try to concentrate again but it’s of no use because I blink all I see is Kayla and it’s been like that for the past two days!“Meeting

Chapter 29

SEBASTIAN “Alpha, are you okay?” A server steadies me before I land on the floor. What the hell is wrong with me ? I am the Alpha, the strongest person in my pack yet it seems I don't have control over myself.“I’m fine,” I scowl at him before he scurries away then makes a call to my doctor.“Can I come in to see you now? It’s urgent,” I replied to her greeting.“Yes of course Alpha, I’m always available for you.”I sent a quick text to my Mom that something came up and I didn't wait to see her storming out of the restaurant when I entered my Limo, heading to the hospital.“It’s good to see you Alpha Sebastian, I hope you’re doing well?” Doctor Ariana smiles at me.“Actually I’m not, I keep having this burning sensation in my head and I keep thinking of….” I trail off when my wolf growls at me.“Do you want to expose yourself to this doctor and tell her you can’t control your emotions?” he warns.“Yes Alpha, you’re thinking of?”“Nothing, just the burning sensation.”“Okay then, I w
