Alle Kapitel von The CEO's Unwanted Wife : Kapitel 71 – Kapitel 80

Fiona POV I was in the middle of a meeting with the production team when the intercom rang. My mom’s secretary, serious voice. “Mrs. Clarke wants to speak with Mrs. Blackwood now.” Everyone in the room exchanged quick little looks, that silence that falls when the CEO calls like that, in the middle of the workday, out of nowhere. I already stood up right away, grabbed the tablet, heart racing. “I’ll be right back, guys. Keep adjusting the elastic on the Curve Power.” I ran to the elevator, fixed my blazer, fixed my hair, took a deep breath. My mom almost never called me to her office like that. Only when it was a million-dollar budget, supplier crisis, or something that would change the whole company. My head was already traveling through a thousand bad scenarios. I got to the dark wood double door, knocked twice, entered. And there she was. Sitting in the giant armchair, legs crossed, tea cup in hand, smiling from ear to ear like she had won the lottery. “Close the door, daug

Third POVSebastian drove the whole way in silence, one hand firm on the wheel, the other holding Fiona’s hand as if it was the only thing keeping her in the world. She was curled up in the passenger seat, face pale, eyes red and swollen from crying so much. Every now and then her whole body shook, a tremor that came from inside, as if the shock was still running through her veins. The light blue dress was dirty with dust and a little torn at the hem, hair messy, but she didn’t even seem to notice. No matter how much Sebastian was there with her, she still couldn’t get the image of the headlights aiming straight at her and the sound of the runaway car’s wheels, ready to end her life.Fiona curled up automatically, made a face and then sobbed in despair. She would literally be dead now, thinking about it was so terrifying.Sebastian stroked her hand, squeezing harder. “Everything’s okay, my love. You’re safe now with me…” he said, having already been through a serious enough accident

Third POVFiona woke up suddenly, chest rising and falling fast, whole body cold with sweat, bitter taste in the roof of the mouth. The nightmare was still stuck in the mind like spider web. She saw Eli on the stretcher again, blood on the face, the paramedics running, and her scream echoing without leaving the throat. It was always the same dream from which she could never get rid of, that dream that always left her heart tight and made her have a terrible day after appearing. She hated that.Breathed deep several times, tried to calm down, reached out to the side of the bed looking for Sebastian’s warmth, the touch that always brought her back. But the place was empty. The sheet cold. She sat up fast, heart racing again, eyes looking in the dark. The faint moonlight came in through the open window, drawing the room in shades of blue and silver. Sebastian was there, standing, back to her, looking out at the night. His silhouette looked like a statue, tense shoulders, arms crossed,

Fiona POVAfter my mom left, the house stayed with that nice lazy Sunday silence. Sebastian locked the door, picked me up in his arms as if I were a feather and carried me to the TV room sofa without any effort.“Today you don’t get up from here,” he said seriously, but with that sideways smile that disarms me every time. “Only rest, movie, lap and kiss. Medical and husband’s order.”I laughed, nestled into his chest, head on his shoulder, legs over his, thick blanket covering both of us.“As you wish, husband,” I answered giving him a long and affectionate kiss. Then I snuggled more into him and stayed watching the movie with him until late.Sebastian even went to make popcorn and brought soda so we could enjoy our time together in peace and more relaxed. He put on some random romantic comedy, one of those we’ve seen a thousand times, but that always makes us laugh at the same time. The sunlight came in weakly through the window, my mom’s banana cake smell still lingered in the house

Fiona POV (explicit)The rest of the whole day Sebastian didn’t leave my side. Not for a second. He canceled everything he had scheduled, turned off the work phone, sent messages to the security guys to keep an eye on the house. He stayed by my side on the sofa, in the kitchen when I wanted water, even in the bathroom he waited outside, leaning on the door, ready for anything. I felt his eyes on me the whole time, protective, worried, but full of love. He suggested telling my mom about the email, said she deserved to know, that she would be more worried if she found out later.“Love, she’s already anxious about the accident. If she knows about this threat she’ll go crazy.”He sighed, ran his hand through his hair, but ended up agreeing.“Okay. But if anything else happens, we tell her. No hiding anything.”I nodded, relieved. I didn’t want to worry her more. The fear I felt was already enough.Night came slowly. We had something light that he made quick, melted cheese and tomato s
