Chapter 11: Serena’s Visions

The observatory shook as dark portals tore open in the walls.Kael was on his feet instantly, shifting into his powerful wolf form with a thunderous roar. Damien melted into shadows, ready to strike. Serena grabbed Liora, pulling her daughter behind her while violet magic flared around them both. From the largest portal stepped Vesperian, the fallen angel, his six black wings spread wide. Behind him, shadowy figures of their past emerged — twisted echoes of Viktor, Elara, and several of Kael’s fallen pack brothers.“You cannot hide her forever,” Vesperian said, his voice like cracking ice. “The Key will open the Eclipse, willingly or not.”Liora whimpered, clutching Serena’s leg. “Mommy… make them go away…”Serena’s VisionsSerena pushed Liora toward Damien. “Protect her!”Then she stepped forward, eyes blazing violet.
