Lahat ng Kabanata ng My Husband Shared Me:A New Year's Filthy Threesome: Kabanata 121 - Kabanata 130

The drive back to the farmhouse was almost silent. The ocean disappeared behind them, replaced by long stretches of empty road and fading sunlight. No one reached for the radio. No one tried to fill the silence with small talk.Jax sat in the passenger seat, staring out the window, but he wasn't seeing the passing trees. He was seeing Emma. Her smile. Her frightened eyes. The way she had looked toward the truck, as if some small part of her had felt him there.Lily-Rose sat in the back seat with her forehead against the cool glass. She wasn't looking at the road. She wasn't thinking about the little girl anymore. She was thinking about Jax.About the envelope.About every night he had held her while carrying a secret big enough to change all their lives.Jimmy drove with both hands on the steering wheel. His jaw was tight, his eyes fixed on the road. The silence between them was no longer peaceful. It hurt.By the time they reached the farmhouse, dusk had settled over the orchard. No

The orchard fell silent. For a long moment, none of them moved.Jimmy still held the phone in his hand, his eyes fixed on the message glowing on the screen.Lily-Rose searched his face."What did she say?"Jimmy swallowed."The investigator confirmed it. Sarah is alive."The words landed like thunder.Jax stared at him, unable to breathe."No..."His voice barely existed."No... that's impossible."Jimmy slowly handed him the phone. The message was short.I found Sarah Calder. She contacted me herself. She wants to meet you. She insists you come alone.Jax read it twice. Then a third time. His hands began to shake.Lily-Rose stepped closer."Alone?"Jimmy nodded."That's what worries me."Jax looked toward the orchard, his thoughts spinning."If Sarah is alive..."He couldn't finish the sentence.Lily-Rose quietly asked the question neither man wanted to say aloud."Then who buried those lies all those years ago?"Silence answered. That evening the farmhouse no longer felt peaceful.R

The farmhouse was quiet. Not the peaceful kind of quiet. This one felt heavy.Lily-Rose had not slept beside Jax.She spent the night in the small room at the end of the hall. She barely slept. Every time she closed her eyes, she saw the picture of little Emma.Jax had a daughter. He had known for months that she might be alive. And he never told her.A soft knock came at the door."Lily?"It was Jimmy."You can come in."Jimmy walked in holding two cups of coffee. He handed one to her and sat in the chair by the window. For a while, neither of them spoke. Finally, Lily-Rose looked at him."Did you really not know?"Jimmy shook his head."No.""If I knew, I would have told you."She nodded slowly."I believe you."She looked out the window."I just don't know what to believe anymore."Jimmy looked down."I think Jax is scared."She gave a sad smile."So was I."Downstairs, Jax sat alone at the kitchen table.Emma's picture lay beside his coffee. He had not touched either one.A few mi

The next morning felt no different. The farmhouse was quiet.Lily-Rose made breakfast.Jimmy set the table.Jax came downstairs with his toolbox in one hand."Morning," he said.Jimmy answered first."Morning."Lily-Rose kept her eyes on the eggs she was cooking. She didn't say a word.Jax understood. He grabbed a piece of toast, picked up his coffee, and walked outside.Jimmy watched him leave. Then he looked at Lily-Rose."You can't even look at him, can you?"She slowly shook her head."I'm trying.""But every time I do..."She stopped.Jimmy waited."I see that letter."She closed her eyes."I see Emma's picture.""I hear him saying he kept it from us."Her voice broke."And my heart hurts all over again."Jimmy reached across the table and gently held her hand."You don't have to rush.""I'm scared."She whispered the words so quietly Jimmy almost didn't hear them."What are you scared of?""I'm scared that if I forgive him too soon..."She looked at Jimmy with tears in her eyes.

The rain had stopped sometime during the night.By morning, the orchard looked fresh again. Drops of water clung to the apple trees, catching the sunlight whenever the wind moved the branches.Lily-Rose stood on the back porch with a cup of coffee between her hands. She watched Jimmy repairing the garden fence while Jax worked on the old truck parked beside the barn. They hadn't argued since the truth came out.But things still weren't normal.Sometimes healing wasn't loud.Sometimes it was the silence between two people who still loved each other but didn't know how to find their way back. The screen door creaked behind her.Jimmy stepped onto the porch and leaned against the railing."You've been out here a while."She smiled without looking at him."I've been thinking.""I guessed."He folded his arms."About Jax?"She let out a slow breath."About everything."For a moment, neither of them spoke. The only sounds were birds in the trees and Jax's wrench hitting the concrete drivewa
