บททั้งหมดของ TOO LATE, MR. DANIEL: YOUR EX-WIFE IS GONE.: บทที่ 1 - บทที่ 5

“I'm happy to tell you that you're expecting a baby!”Sophia had been absent-minded that evening, unable to stop thinking about the news the doctor had given her earlier that afternoon.“What's on your mind?” Daniel asked as he started undoing the buttons of his shirt. The sight of Daniel's muscular chest brought a blush to Sophia's cheeks. They had been husband and wife for three years, but she still couldn't help feeling bashful whenever she saw him undressed.Without giving her a chance to respond, Daniel turned around and headed into the bathroom for a shower. The moment she heard the sound of running water, Sophia pulled open the drawer and retrieved her pregnancy test report.Earlier that afternoon, she had visited the hospital because she wasn't feeling well. Believing it was nothing more than an ordinary stomach ache, she had never imagined that the doctor would announce she was pregnant. After three years of hoping and trying, she was finally going to become a mother!A smile

“What on earth happened?” Daniel asked Ivy after the doctor had finished treating her. A wave of remorse washed over him as he stared at the dressing on her forehead. “I'm sorry. I can't understand why Sophia has become like this. She was never this kind of person before.”When he arrived at the parking area, he thought he caught Sophia dragging Ivy out of her wheelchair. The sight frightened him, and he immediately got worried that Ivy might get injured. After all, Ivy had suffered injuries to her legs because of him. He couldn't bear the thought of her getting hurt again because his wife was jealous.“I hope you'll forgive her. She doesn't usually behave this way,” Daniel added. They were inside a private hospital suite, where Ivy rested on the narrow bed after they left her wheelchair behind.Ivy smiled and took Daniel's hand in hers. “Hey, don't misunderstand what happened. Sophia isn't responsible for this. I fell by myself... I think there's something wrong with my wheelchair.”

Sophia regained consciousness and discovered that she was tied to a chair. From her surroundings, it appeared that she was inside a deserted warehouse. She remembered being struck with a hard object before everything went black. Did someone kidnap her?Fear immediately crept inside her. She shouted, “Where am I? Somebody help me! Please!”“Sophia, calm down. Screaming won't help you... believe me, I've already tried,” a familiar voice reached her ears. She turned to her right and saw Miss Williams tied to a chair just like her. Her eyes widened in alarm.“What is happening? Why would someone kidnap both of us?” Sophia asked, her heart pounding frantically.Deep down, she was terrified about the safety of the baby growing inside her. If anything happened to her, she could lose her unborn child.“That's an excellent question,” a man's voice rang out in the warehouse.Sophia turned toward the sound of the voice and her heart quickened when she saw four menacing men approaching them. One
