How could she? After all, they had been through and all he'd done for her, this was how she repaid him. He thought as he left the room.
"Annabelle, there's nothing to explain. How could you! , you know what we're done. Don't bother calling me ever." He added walking out.
"Kwame, mesr3 wo (I beg you)." She said trying to open the door but he had locked it from inside as he drove off.
"Ah! Mmaa tiri mu y3 den (women are wicked)". Tenison huffed as he drove to his office.
Had I known is always at last. He thought getting out of his car.
" B33ma (guy), why the long face?" His best friend Kwabena asked as he entered the office.
"Anna o Anna, she's a bisexual...I'm even disgusted thinking about it." He stated.
"You're joking ah, how can you say that?" Kwabena disbelieved
"Kwabena, I'm serious I'm just coming from her house, I caught her red-handed." He added.
" It's fine, don't stress yourself too much about this. There might be a woman out there who would love you for you and not for anything else." Kwabena added tapping his friend's back.
"I need to go pick up Maakua from school. I'd see you later bro." Tenison said as he left his office with Kwabena in tow. Maakua was his two-year-old daughter he had from a one night stand. Her mother left her with him and then continued with her life because she vowed never to do anything with her.
Tenison parked at the car park and then headed inside the school. She attended Lincoln community school one of the biggest in the country.
He knocked on the door of her classroom. "Come in." A sweet voice called from the inside. That was strange because her teacher was an older woman and this voice didn't sound like the old teacher's voice.
"Sir how may I help you?" Imelda asked the man. She knew him not personally but had seen him countless times on tv. He was the CEO of Tullow Ghana limited.
"I'm here to pick my daughter Maakua Boateng," Tenison stated.
"Who may you be by the way?" He questioned confused.
"Sorry, my bad I'm Miss Imelda Ampomaah, the new teacher." She smiled showing her white teeth and her dimples.
Imelda was slim and curvy. She had dark oily skin and was 5'8 ft tall. She had dimples which showed when she talked and smiled.
"Nice to meet you, Imelda." He added shaking her hands.
"Daddy!" Maakua exclaimed as she runs to her dad raising her hands for him to carry her.
"Hey baby, you missed me?" He asked his two-year-old.
"Yes." She said giggling. Imelda watched them in awe. The relationship between father and daughter was a beautiful one.
Tenison was a handsome and successful man. There were rumours here and there was that he was a womanizer. But she didn't mind. She fell in love with him at first sight.
"Miss Imelda, it's nice to meet you. Can I have your number so I can contact you in case of anything?" Tenison said.
She is a beautiful woman but I'm not ready for any commitment. He thought to himself
"Alright." She added giving her number to him.
"Bye attie...Akosua." Maakua said as she left with her dad.

Weeks passed and Tenison and Imelda had grown to be great friends. Maakua had grown to love her teacher, who also seemed to be fond of the little girl. She could cry for minutes refusing to go home unless Imelda carries her to the car and convinces her until she stops crying.
Just as their friendship bloomed, her love for Kwame grew the more but he wasn't ready to commit into any relationship because of one bad nut.
Imelda and her friend Serwaa decided to go out for fresh air at the Accra Mall that was around spanner junction. They decided to do a little window shopping and change Imelda's old rusty phone.
They had entered into the Huawei phone shop and they were checking out the latest one to get since Imelda wasn't a fan of Apple products like her friend Serwaa who fantasized about them.
"Attie Akosua." A tiny voice called pulling on her trouser.
"Maakua, where's your daddy?" Imelda asked carrying her.
"Who is she?" Serwaa asked poking her chubby's cheeks.
"She's Kwame's daughter," Imelda answered stretching her neck to see if she'd find Kwame. Kwame searched the shop looking for Maakua.
She'd been right beside him as he was checking out the prices of their products.
Where could she have gone? He questioned worriedly. He walked to the entrance of the shop as he saw her sitting on Imelda's laps eating ice cream.
He heaved a sigh of relief as he approached them. "Maakua, you scared me. Thanks, Imelda, I almost reported that I couldn't find my child." He remarked.
"It's fine Kwame, but make sure you keep your eyes on her, what if I hadn't found her?" She retorted.
"My bad, meet Serwaa, my friend, Serwaa meet Kwame." She introduced.
Is this girl serious, she's friends with the Tenison Boateng and her dey slack, her mind for dey o. Serwaa thought to herself.
"Hi." Serwaa greeted stretching forth her hand only to be ignored by Kwame who only nodded.
Yawa o. Imelda thought as she chuckled.
"So what are you doing here, by the way, I thought you said you weren't going out today?" Kwame questioned.
"I did but, when I received my salary I decided to spoil myself a little by getting a new phone." She answered.
"It's time you got rid of that crappy phone," Serwaa added.
"So which phone did you plan on getting?" He inquired.
iPhone naaa, ghana girls dier )mo Huu Iphone no )mo ante hwee bio ( It's an iPhone as for Ghanaian girls as soon as they heard about iPhone no other phone matters) He thought to himself.
"I wanted to get the Huawei P20." She said shocking him as they walked into the shop. He helped her check on the specifications of the phone as Serwaa stood outside fidgeting with her phone.
"But the P20 pro's specifications are quite better." He added.
"I know but my money won't be enough for that." She added.
"And who said you're paying?" He asked. "Please she'd take the P20 pro...how much does it cost?" He asked.
"It's Gh¢4000.00." He said as Imelda opened her mouth wide.
She watched as Kwame handed over his credit card and with one swipe, 4000 cedis was taken out of his account.
"Thank you very much, Kwame, I owe you one." She added.
"Don't worry Akosua, it's nothing. " "You girls up for lunch?" He asked as they reached where Serwaa was standing.
"Of course we are." Serwaa beat her into answering.
"Alright, let's head to KFC then." He said as Serwaa led the way leaving Imelda, Kwame, and Maakua behind.
Imelda was shocked at how her friend was behaving.
I have to be careful around this one. She's an opportunist. It's good I didn't tell her which of the Huawei phones I was getting or told her the type Kwame had gotten her. She thought.
"Thanks for the phone, Kwame, I'm very much indebted to you. She added through the phone as she lay on her bed. When they got back from the mall, Imelda cleaned her room and then prepared dinner. After dinner, she transferred all her stuff from the old phone to the new one before calling Kwame.
"There's something about that your friend Serwaa be careful of her, she has bad intentions,” Tenison said seriously.
"I will Kwame, I saw that when we went out today, thanks for the advice though." She chimed. The two friends talked about random stuff getting to know each other's embarrassing, sad and happy moments and even their deepest secrets.
“ Ms Eleanor Quansah is sentenced to life imprisonment for planning the attempted murder of Mrs Akosua Boateng and also almost defrauding a Mr Kwame Boateng by selling his house without his concern. I rest my case." The judge hit his gavel declaring his judgement. Eleanor was being pushed out of the courtroom as the paparazzi took pictures of her and asked her questions.“What are your last words?" One of them asked. My mother, money and greed killed me. For the young ones out there be careful about what you wish for, it might be the death of you." Eleanor said as the walked out.Todd was helpless as the police dragged him to the police station. He was too cautious about being caught that he didn't realise when the police located him. It was a dead-end for him.Oh if I could turn back the hands of time.He lamented. The police took him in their jet as they flew him back to Ghana. When they reached the Kotoka internat
“Young woman, the man you married is the cause of your childlessness, you have t o seek God's intervention before it's too late." A young pastor said to Serwaa. She had parked her car in front of a supermarket and was getting stuff for her baby.“Ɛii, asɔfofoɔ aa moaba,sɛi aa na afɛ no aso, kyerɛsɛ wahu sɛ me wɔ sika nti no, me kunu yɛ sika adro, fi maniso kɔ ee (Prophets of doom, you've seen I'm a rich woman and so you're claiming my husband does money rituals, leave my sight)."She said to him.“Woman had I known is always at last." He said and walked off. She shrugged him off and continued with her shopping with no care in the world.“Kwesi, nansa niɛ aa wo piɛ afeɛ na wo ba (Kwesi, it's been three days you left and you're now coming)?"Aku asked as he walked into the house.“Madam Slay queen, do you think I would stay with you, having sex with you isn't interesting m
~ A few months later~Akosua rushed to the bathroom to puke her guts out. She had been feeling a little sick for a couple of days now.“Ma, ɛden na,ɛye wo(Mom, what's wrong with you)?" Maakua asked.“I don't feel too well." She told the girl as Kwame came from the kitchen.“What is it?" He asked spotting his wife's pale face.“I don't feel too good." She admitted.“We need to go see a doctor," Kwame said.“But you have to go to the house today, today's the day that evil woman leaves once and for all." She determined.“Don't worry dear, I've made Kwabena pose as the buyer, I would join him after we get back," Kwame added.“Alright love." She smiled at him. She was glad she was getting her home back.“Maakua, I'm taking your Mom to the hospital so do take care of the house," Kwame instructed.&
“Morning ɔdɔ(Morning love)" Kwame greeted Akosua who lay beside him peacefully. He had spent the night with her when he came visiting the previous day. They were sneaking around like two teenagers in love. “Hey, how was your night?" She lay smiling at her. “It was wonderful, I enjoyed you." He added moving close to kiss her as she moved her head. “Morning breathe." She added as she walked towards the bathroom to brush her teeth. It read 4:30 am. He had to prepare for work and drop Maakua at school. Even though she was well, the school had given her a two week grace period before she resumed. Akosua came out of the bathroom and headed to Maakua's room. She would sleep the whole day if she didn't wake her up. “Maakua" Akosua called knocking on the door as she opened it. She had just emerged from the shower when she heard her mother's knock on the door. “Good morning, darling you don't look good." She said to her. “I think I've started my menses, I saw blood in my underwear when I
“What is happening with my kids at all? Why did Todd decide to move to the Northern region all of a sudden? I know my son, there's something he's not talking about. And Eleanor too, what is she up to now that her name is almost everywhere?" Baafi asked herself sitting on her couch. Father, come to our aid. She silently prayed. Serwaa had finally given birth to her baby, that's what most people thought. They had finally adopted the one-week-old baby after a week of her fake delivery. Her mother had come to stay with them and was taking care of the baby girl, surprisingly, she looked like Leo. Yaa and Maabena turned the music on a little louder. They had gotten more money than they used to get before and they were excited. “The club isn't the best place to find a lover So the bar is where I goMe and my friends at the table doing shotsDrinking fast and then we talk slowCome over and start up a conversation with just meAnd trust me I'll give it a chance nowTake my hand, stop, p
“Hey," Kwame said as Akosua opened the door for him. “Hi, good morning" She responded ushering him inside. “Da!" Maakua called as she hugged her dad. It was a Saturday morning and he decided to come to check on them after his morning run. “Sweety, ɛtɛsen( How are you)?" He asked his daughter. Akosua was still sleepy so she retired back to bed leaving her husband and daughter to bond. “I'm fine Daddy." She answered. “Hey, let's do something for mom, she seems tired," Kwame suggested. “She stressed herself too much yesterday, that's why," Maakua confessed. Kwame and Maakua entered the kitchen to prepare food for Akosua. Eleanor checked the news headlines and once again she was on the front page. The caption read, " Eleanor Quansah is a gold digger" It further said: Eleanor found her way into Tullow Oil not to work but have an agenda of her own. She had an agenda before applying for a position at Tullow Oil, you want to know what her agenda was? Well, she had planned to seduce t
