"Uncle I will just go and get water from the valley you know we need it right." The girl with bright blue eyes said to her uncle who sighed heavily.
"But my daughter you know it's not good for you to go there alone. It's almost night I can't risk it." The girl was ready to protest but stopped hearing a familiar voice.
"That's fine, father I will go with her." She smiled at the young man who was of the same age as hers.
The old man had no other choice but to allow them after all they needed water and they couldn't wait till the morning. Being in a small village it was hard to find water easily that's why even though the valley's water wasn't that hygienic but they had no choice but to use it.
Fleur Blake. 19 years old young woman. She lost her parents in her childhood. She was lucky enough that her father's brother was generous enough to not give up on her and brought her to his house. Her uncle's wife was also really a good woman and she treated Fleur like her own daughter but fate has its own plan for her. She was diagnosed with lung cancer and being extremely poor they couldn't afford any aid for her. And she lost her life when Fleur turned 12.
Her uncle and Aunt have a son as well whose just one year older than her. He treats her like his own younger sister. They had a beautiful bond and it was enough for Fleur to live with them in peace. Even though they have many problems in their lives and the biggest was their poverty but still Fleur always felt grateful for whatever they had.
Fleur's uncle used to work as a farmer but just a year ago he was also diagnosed with T.B (Tuberculosis). They could have looked up to his treatment but it was way too out of their league even though both Fleur and her cousin brother worked as well but it was only to fill their stomach.
Her uncle was losing his life minute by minute and Fleur knew that soon she will lose him as well. Kai, her brother was also trying to do as many jobs as he could to get more help for his father but now he has lost hope, as well as their village doctor, has already told them that there was no way to save him anymore.
They both walked near the valley with buckets in their hands. Kai was the first one to start filling the water. "I will go to the other side." Fleur tried to walk toward the other side but Kai grabbed her arm.
"Fleur no one takes water from that side. They say that side's water is dirtier than this one." He tried reasoning with her but she shook her head.
"I know. I am not taking water from that side to drink but to wash clothes. I don't like washing clothes in open areas." Kai sighed nodding his head at her.
She grabbed the bucket and walked toward the other side. The sky has already turned slightly dark. The light was dark blue but it was enough for her sight to see her surroundings.
She dipped the bucket in the water and just when she pulled it back a loud gasp left her lips dropping the bucket back into the water in horror. Her eyes widened taking several steps back.
Blood. There was blood mixed with water. She breathed heavily and was ready to run away when suddenly her eyes fell on the body floating on the edge of the valley. She froze in her spot finding herself in an extremely unusual condition.
Out of her instincts, she ran towards the body and pulled it out of the water with a hard struggle. The man's body wasn't like the men she was used to being around. It was way too bulky, hard, and muscular. He almost looked like a giant to her.
She inspected him finding him only in ripped pants. He looked like a soldier. Maybe he's an army man and someone tried to kill him. That's all her mind thought after all only army men are this much muscular. She has seen army soldiers coming to their village once to provide them food when they suffered from heavy floods.
She found him bleeding from several places but what left her shocked was the fact that he wasn't dead. He was still alive as she felt his faint breathing. And a rapid heartbeat. The sound of his heartbeat was way faster than a normal human heart.
Shaking her thoughts away she ran towards the other side finding Kai already finished with his work. His black eyes met hers and turned full of worry when he noticed how frantic and worked-up she looked.
"Fleur, what happened?" She shook her head grabbing his wrist and dragged him with her. He silently followed her only to curse out in shock.
"I-I found him in the valley. I hardly pulled him out. But I don't think I can bring him back to our house alone." Kai licked his lips in anxiety.
"God dammit! We are already having a hard time now what will we do with him?" He cursed under his breath rubbing his forehead.
"Kai we can't leave him like this. He's still alive we can help him." Kai spared her a glance before sighing out and nodding his head.
"Fine. Let's go." Kai wasn't really a bulky man instead he had normal muscles and height. He was solid 5'10 while Fleur was 5'4. Even though Kai did have a muscular body and good weight but still it was nothing in front of the unconscious injured man.
With the help of Kai, Fleur successfully dragged the heavy man towards their house. They were thankful after finding their uncle already asleep because of the effect of the medicines. They laid him on Fleur's bed before massaging their own muscles.
"Hell! He's so damn heavy. I almost broke my bones." Kai mumbled looking at the giant man with a doubtful gaze.
The man didn't look like a human to him. He was unusually heavy, tall, and strong. But still shaking his head he went back to the valley to bring the water buckets. On the other side, Fleur brought the first aid box and towel.
She gulped watching his face after coming in light. He looked scary. His long beard and long hair gave him a rugged look. There was a scar on his left cheek under his eye. She hesitantly started wiping his wet body using the warm towel.
After wiping his half-naked body she started treating his injuries. His abdomen was extremely injured that's why she had to wrap a bandage around his stomach. She wrapped another bandage over his left arm as well as it was bruised up badly.
He had scars all over his body. She leaned her face closer to him staring at the scar around his eye. She wouldn't deny the scar looked painful yet it looked extremely old.
Her body flinched badly in horror when he made an inhumane sound. His chest grumbled and an animalistic growl erupted from his lips. She stumbled back gulping down as she stared at him with wide eyes.
Is he really a human? As she was busy staring at him. She didn't even notice Kai coming in her way with a frown finding her standing near the giant with wide shocked eyes.
"JESUS CHRIST HAVE MERCY!!" She jumped taking two steps back when Kai placed his hand over her shoulder.
"God woman! What's wrong with you? You scared the shit out of me!" Kai cursed staring at her in shock. Fleur let out a relieved sigh patting her chest. Her heart was about out to burst out.
"I-I am sorry. I don't know I felt like I heard him making a weird noise. L-Like an animal." Kai stared at her for a second before laughing at her face.
"I know he looks like a giant but come on, how can he be an animal idiot? Look at him he's a human." Fleur pouted making a sulking face. She took a seat on the stool away from the giant man. Kai chuckled before checking him.
"Hmm, you already treated him. I think I should change his clothes." Fleur nodded and went to the other room. In their small house, there were only two rooms that they built with cement and bricks.
It indeed looked like a small hut but for them, it was their house. Fleur decided to make tea for herself and Kai and after making it she brought it out letting out a small chuckle after watching the view in front of her.
Kai was standing in front of the lying man with an embarrassed face. Kai wore the man his loose shirt and pants but as the man was way taller and bigger than him the clothes were still shorter on him. The pants were hardly reaching his ankles while the shirt which was extremely loose and large on Kai hardly fit him. His muscles were bulking out of the shirt.
"Damn he's really a giant!" Kai mumbled shaking his head.
" Let it be. Here." Kai smiled at her thanking her in the process. They both took a seat on the stools placed near the bed.
"Look at him. Even the bed is small for him. Almost half of his legs are hanging off the bed." Fleur hummed watching his dangling legs. She never thought that the bed was that small till this man decided to lay on it.
"Uncle will be mad." Kai smiled at her shaking his head.
"He will but only for a few minutes after all he knows how soft-hearted and kind his niece is." Fleur chuckled taking a sip of her tea.
"Fleur, what do you think who is he?" Kai questioned making her look in the giant man's way once again. She sighed shaking her head.
"I don't know. He looks like an army man. Remember the ones who once came here to provide us with food." Kai nodded his head.
"I don't think. I mean he looks way bulkier and taller than them. Those soldiers weren't that scary looking." This time Fleur nodded in acknowledgment.
"You're right. But well let's just pray he wakes up soon and could tell us that who is he?" Kai nodded in agreement before the silence took over the room.
After a few hours, Kai went to another room to sleep while Fleur came to check on the giant man. She opened the tiny blanket she used to sleep in and gently placed it over him even though it didn't cover him fully but still it did cover his wounds. He needed warmth.
She slowly sat down on the bed beside his laying figure. Her eyes automatically went to his scarred cheek. Gulping down she gently held his large veiny hand in hers and carefully pushed it under the blanket. Staring at his face she mumbled.
"Who really are you scary man?"

I hate that man, and you want me to turn his queen a vampire and start a new breed of my kind in his kingdom! Hell no!" Caius rejected the idea which he considers extremely moronic."But you just told me that you want to have a peace treaty with Gabriel," Caius chortled shaking his head."Yes I do, but that doesn't mean I want to create some affable relationship with him, I just want to end this enmity and any kind of contact between us." He completed earning a tired sigh from Ezekiel who messaged his temple getting irritated by Caius obstinate behavior."Caius, answer me about one thing," Ezekiel mumbled catching the cad's whole attention."What if you w
