Legend of the Northern Blade basically is Mu-Won, a lone survivor of a martial sect that was destroyed. However, while he was once a simple survivor of his clan’s destruction, he has grown into something much more. In his development as a character, the Manhwa draws out a lot of the sword-wielding of the protagonist, but also really highlights how his quiet resolve is incredibly relatable. Mu-Won is not a character who, after great personal loss, becomes an huge, angry, aggressive, and loud protagonist. He carries his past with him, but it doesn’t consume him.

What I admire most about Legend of the Northern Blade though, is the way it contrasts Mu-Won’s journey and growth in the story to the turbulent martial world. Watching him face off against Silent Night over and over again, I see that his revenge is not just that but also the rebuilding of something from nothing. The art in the manhwa is also exceptional in portraying Mu-Won’s sense of loneliness, and the expansive landscapes only highlight how alone he is. I have to admit though, Mu-Won has single handedly ruined me for any other protagonists because he is so perfect in his vulnerablity and his awesomeness.

Some brief notes on “Legend of the Northern Blade” – a manhwa that follows the life of Mu-Won, the son of a deceased sword master. It’s a real character-driven story with lots of deep struggle that the author makes seem really effortless. In fact, I might say that Mu-Won’s struggles are sort of the ‘earned’ kind, and it really makes sense in terms of his overall character arc and the themes of the story of legacy and of betrayal.

The more you read the manhwa, the more you realize that Mu-Won’s personality is really complex and there are lots of layers. At first, he comes off as a typical quiet/shut-in type, but later chapters show his sarcastic side and also his loyalty to his friends. The action scenes are very dynamic, but I think the scenes that show Mu-Won treating his sword, or reminiscing about his father and his teachings are really what show his personality. As the story progresses, many of the side characters call Mu-Won “the last light of the Northern Blade” (legend).

Mu-Won completely owns his scenes in ‘Legend of the Northern Blade’. What’s more is that while many revenge plots go down the usual road of slowly spiraling down into dark depths, Mu-Won walks a very thin line between justice and blind fury at any given time. I also think that Mu-Won’s design is very fitting for his character as the man goes from (early on) wearing tattered robes, symbolizing his declining legacy, to eventually donning more refined attire to better reflect his growing identity.

Mentioning his relationships, I think Mu-Won has some amazing interactions with others, particularly with his reluctant mentor Jin and the alliances he makes with others. Despite his complicated past, Mu-Won isn’t a closed off person due to his trauma, he’s just very selective with who he lets in. The rest of the manhwa is also paced amazingly, so you really get to feel all of the set backs and triumphs that Mu-Won endures along the way. The final fight with Silent Night in the snow gave me literal chills. I love Mu-Won so much because he’s a character that you can cheer for when he finally lets out his full potential and wields his blade with such might.

Who is the main character in Jormungand?

3 คำตอบ2026-02-06
The main character in 'Jormungand' is Koko Hekmatyar, a brilliant and enigmatic arms dealer who leads an international smuggling team. She's this fascinating blend of charm and ruthlessness, always wearing a playful smile even when negotiating deadly deals. What makes her stand out is how she balances being a shrewd businesswoman with a weirdly idealistic vision—she genuinely believes her work will bring about world peace, which sounds insane considering she sells weapons. Her team is full of equally intriguing characters, like Jonah, the child soldier who becomes her bodyguard, but Koko's the sun they all orbit around. I love how the series doesn’t shy away from her contradictions. One minute she’s joking around with her crew, the next she’s coldly calculating how to outmaneuver rivals. The anime digs into her backstory just enough to keep you hooked but leaves plenty of mystery. It’s rare to see a female lead in this kind of role, and her unpredictability keeps every mission tense. By the end, you’re left wondering if she’s a genius, a madwoman, or both.

How to unlock all characters in Queen's Blade: Spiral Chaos?

I found a very good video series from a niche channel about this game. It explains step by step how to get every unlock. I made a YouTube search for the Japanese title of the video series. Although it is in Japanese, the video is very clear to follow, as it contains many visual cues, like the menu navigation and the battles themselves. This is much better than just reading a long text explaining the same thing.

Who are the main characters in Wolves of Bloodmoon?

The magic system shows who’s main. The only people with ‘True Bonds’ with their wolves are able to use the advanced magic shown in the climax. This includes Lyra, Kaelan, and Varek, as well as the corrupted version held by Malakar. Everyone else either has a weaker ‘True Bond’ or no magic at all. By the world’s own power scaling, this makes the three mentioned, as well as the villain, the main characters. Their connections to the very source of magic in the world are key to the conflict, and the narrative maintains a hard, in-world differentiation between the two.

Is there a sequel to 'Blades of Furry'?

I think an art book would be amazing. This could just be a collection of concept art, character sheets, alternate outfits for the main characters, and unused panels. This would give us even more insight into the world of the story without us having to create an entire new story. Art books typically contain little to no commentary but are filled with behind the scene information and stories of how something was created. It would be a great way to revisit a completed series and celebrate it in a different way. If enough people asked the creator of a particular series for an art book on social media, I'm sure they would consider it. This would be a lower-lift project than a full length sequel and I think fans would really enjoy it.

Who is the strongest character in 'Swordmaster's Youngest Son'?

12 คำตอบ2025-06-27
On the fanforum, this question pops up weekly or so, and depending on which arc people are currently in, they all agree that the Northern Warden is the strongest, or that it’s the exiled Blood Emperor, or even currently that the enigmatic ‘Last Scholar of the Sunken Tower’ is the strongest. The wiki even has a constantly edited page for this topic with elaborate arguments and citations to back up every claim. My two copper about this is that since the power system is intentionally very soft, there’s no way that the author is going to be able to give a definitive answer to this question without it ruining the rest of the series for everyone. Note that characters achieve major breakthroughs in terms of plot progress through gaining new insights into who they are or through having some sort of strong emotional moment. So, despite there being lots of grind content to level up characters, a single scene can suddenly find a character leveled up hugely. Hence it’s not really fun to read the v.s. scenes for the stronger characters, but it’s fun to discuss with others whether a particular character is currently stronger than another, and the answers could well change from scene to scene. The only character of legend who is really spoken of in terms of being ‘stronger’ than the rest is the ancestor of the founding of the school, but he’s a sort of historical figure, rather than a character in the story as it’s being told. The strongest character is currently whoever the plot needs to be a threat in that scene.

Is Reborn to Master the Blade available as a free novel?

3 คำตอบ2026-02-10
Hot take: finding free novels is a treasure hunt. Most novels, such as Reborn to Master the Blade, are sold for money. I bought the first volume after many fans rave about it, and the worldbuilding is so amazing that I can’t get enough of it. The story of a woman who wants to go back to her glorious days while trying to move on to her life is amazing. Free novels may exist on the internet, but most of them are illegal and of very poor quality, much like dollar-store sushi. If you are too poor to buy novels right now, you could always read the manga version first. It is cheaper than novels and will get you hooked to the series soon.

Can I play mount and blade: warband with controllers on PC?

7 คำตอบ2025-08-28
I think it's pretty clear that TaleWorlds did not design Bannerlord with console play in mind. As a PC game from a certain era, everything about Bannerlord – from its deep menus to its conversations displayed in a radial choice list – is just plain better with a mouse and keyboard. Even though I really love this game, I wouldn’t recommend it to a controller-only player. It’s a lot of fighting against the interface to try to defeat Vaegirs. Play Bannerlord the way it was meant to be played: clear some space on that desktop of yours, grab a mouse and get to it!

Who are the main characters in Ironside?

4 คำตอบ2025-12-18
The team that Robert Ironside leads is iconic. Ironside is the brains, Mark Sanger is the brawn, Eve Whitfield is the heart, and Ed Brown is the new kid. You feel the personal connection to each case as they struggle to solve the mystery and you experience the banter and camaraderie that they have with each other. Ironside’s disability is not used as a gimmick to get sympathy from the audience, but rather it is a part of his character and the show tackles the problems that he faces. Mark Sanger, Eve Whitfield and Ed Brown are in the process of redemption, stability and growth respectively and this makes for some great TV. The characters are all very real with all their flaws and that is what makes the show so enduring.

Who are the main characters in Shibumi?

Kishikawa is the best of the bunch, a sophisticated, cultured and multilingual killer who treats his murders with the same love and care that he would bring to any other art form. His companions, Hana and Diamond, are equally well-realized - Hana’s background is horrific but she is not a victim; she is strong and silent. Diamond is a foul-mouthed, lacking-in-class villain, and thus a wonderful foil to the urbane killer. Even the least of the minor characters (like the friend of Hel’s childhood that he has to kill) is introduced with a sense of tension. But it is the relationships between Kishikawa and his two murderesses that are really the interest of this novel: his paternal love for Hel, Hana’s devotion to him, and the begrudging respect that he gets from his enemies. The novel is a character-driven thriller that explores as much philosophy as action.

Who is the protagonist in 'The Water Keeper'?

3 คำตอบ2025-07-01
It’s Murphy Shepherd time! So, Murphy is the heart and soul of The Water Keeper, the main character that you’ll fall deeply in love with. I call him a paradox because he is a priest turned warrior and a mourner turned savior. This man exists to rescue trafficking victims but he also harbors the deepest pain in not being able to save his own family. His relationship with his dog, Gunner, speaks more to his development than an entire page of backstory ever could. He can be hard for others to read but Gunner knows him inside and out. If Gunner growls then you know Murphy has just done something that you would not care for. But if Gunner gently nuzzles his hand then you get a glimpse of the kinder, softer Murphy. His interaction with secondary characters like Bones (so clever) and Summer (a young girl who has been through hell) gives you a glimpse into the various personalities Murphy is made up of. One minute he is quoting scripture and the next he has snapped the wrist of a trafficker and moved on. And then there is the setting. The novel is set in Florida and Charles Martin vividly describes the various waterways the protagonist uses to conduct his business as well as travel from place to place. These waterways are not just passageways for the man, they also serve as a battleground for the many missions he undertakes. In addition to the bad guys that he battles, he also must contend with the many dangers of nature, including ferocious storms, predatory sharks and hidden coves that could doom him and his rescues.
