The tears prickle behind my eyes as I walk away towards my seat. Pedro makes an incredible scene, crying loudly and asking why she had to do something like this to herself, that he loved her. Actors. Always exaggerating. No one else behaved like that, just him being overly dramatic. I understand he is probably suffering with the loss of his fiancé, hell she wasn’t even his fiancé anymore because he dumped her, but there’s no need for a theatrical performance like this.

“I can’t…” Liam moved on instinct. He knelt in front of her, hands hovering near her knees but not touching. “Elara—” She shook her head violently. “Don’t push me. Please. I’m trying to breathe.” The tears fell faster. It wasn’t graceful, it wasn’t quiet—this was the kind of crying that broke a person open. She placed the back of her palm on Liam's forehead. “You are burning up.” The back of her palms grazed his neck. “You need to take your medication. Sophie brisked towards the desk. Tears continued to sprint down her cheek. Tiny drops of water can indeed make an ocean, and each tear sank my heart into pain like a ship lost in a mighty ocean. Her hands trembled as she attempted to cock open the bottle. She tried to muffle her sniffs, but she was never the type who could. Her emotions were ever so quick to spill out.
