1000 Books Makes A Library Novels & Stories

Elara's POV The library was larger than the entire servant quarters at Moonhowl. Shelves rose three stories high packed with more books than I had ever seen in one place. The scent of old paper and leather bindings filled the air. Sunlight filtered through tall windows casting pools of light across reading tables scattered throughout the space. It was magnificent. I stood at the entrance and felt something crack open inside my chest. All this knowledge. All these stories and histories and ideas and I could not read a single word.

That is my destination. I don't fancy digital libraries. Not that they are wack or not to my taste, not that I am being archaic. It's just– there's something about being able to lay your hand on books. A real life book you can smell, feel with the tip of your fingers as you turn pages. That is why I frequent here all the time. Over the years, the amount of library attendance in here has reduced and this was solely caused by the establishment of the digital library which everyone now frequents.

When they got there the library was a dream library big, bold, and with lots of books my favorite. My eyes widen as we entered the room seeing the section of shelves with thousands of books in between. On top where the roof was a glass dome on top just like the greenhouse. The academy and the royal library paled in comparison. “This is our family’s private collection. The heads of the Claiborne’s have been collecting rare books to add to this library for generations. The shelves were made of a rich, dark wood, and they were lined with books of every shape and size. There were leather-bound tomes with gold lettering, paperback novels with colorful covers, and even ancient-looking manuscripts with yellowed pages. The room was dimly lit, with only a few soft lamps to illuminate the space. But despite the lack of light, the room felt warm and inviting, like a cozy little sanctuary. LILITH’S POV I sit on the hard floors of the library room again, the day after I’ve been given permission to enter here at will, with my back leaning against the first book shelf I had begun with. It’s a different day and almost 3 hours have passed on the same bookshelf but there’s been no progress. I’m starting to doubt if I can do go through every single shelf in this room. There might be up to a million books in here. I sigh, falling and laying my back against the floors, staring at the white ceiling in front of me.

They are busy in the dining area so I did it. My eyes widened in surprise when I entered the library. It was so freaking huge. I think there is thousands of books on the big shelf! Do I need to clean all the books?! If so, it will take me years and years to finish this! I do not even know where to start. This is ridiculously huge. I have only seen like this in movies. And I am always in awe whenever I see it. And I never thought I will see something like this in real life! It almost feels surreal!
