I’ve never felt so lost and alone before. ~~~ The novel on my lap is one of my favorite, a tome of old lore that Dad gave to me for my thirteenth birthday. I’ve read all of the stories inside so many times that I know the tales by heart but something about the large tome and the worn pages has always worked to calm me down.
