The Last Seven Days

The Last Seven Days

"Rosalia, I was wrong… Please come back." Just then, a wave carried a drifting bottle onto the beach. Inside was a yellowed piece of paper containing my neat handwriting. "Jared, by the time you read this, I will be gone for good. Not just gone, but never existed at all. The system gave me seven days. I could have fixed everything, but what you did was enough to make me give up. Farewell. I hope you and Melody find happiness."

Alpha Zaine’s Rejection

Alpha Zaine’s Rejection

I turn to him, hoping he would burst out laughing at any second, and tell me it’s the biggest and most elaborate joke ever conceived. “It’s true. All of it.” Zaine’s face is as grey as the wolf who glistens in his eyes. “I have the book. My father found it decades ago and has told me stories of The Seven ever since I was a boy. I didn’t know they were true until recently. One night I was unable to sleep, so I went to my father’s library and a sudden clarity overtook me. I walked straight over to his desk. When I leaned over it and felt along the engraving my finger seemed to sink into the wood. There was a button I hadn’t noticed before. When I pushed it, there was a heavy thud at my feet an

Xavier's Surrogate

Xavier's Surrogate

Just how long had she been reading? Halle looked around to see that it had already gotten dark and the lamp was shining brighter than it was only a few moments ago. Wait… It was dark already? Holy shit, had she spent all day lost in the pages of a book? And here she was thinking that the book wasn’t that long. It must’ve been up to seven hours since it was already this dark. “Damn...I completely forgot myself,” Halle shook her head with disbelief, still wiping a tear from the side of her face.

An Outcast Of Time

An Outcast Of Time

At first, looking at you, I thought you were a stubborn, stupid idiot. Aurora heard him say that and did not show any expression, only lowered her eyelids and looked down at the ground softly. People are only stubborn when they have support. Now that she has nothing to rely on and living is not considered living, what qualifications does she have to be stubborn and wild? Luan saw that she didn't say anything anymore. He shook his head, and white smoke dispersed more than before. Smoke approached, swallowing her into the white smoke. Aurora could no longer see. She could only hear the muffled voice of the time-trader. He mechanically said:

Light & Darkness: Book 1

Light & Darkness: Book 1

For now, she didn't even want to wonder what would happen if aunt Margareth finds out about her feelings. Selene stretched first, then slowly dragged herself off the bed, her eyes immediately fixed on the Book of Magic that was lying down on the desk, the one she had gotten from aunt Meredith yesterday. Selene took it gently in her hands and sat on the edge of the bed, setting the bulky volume on her lap, and flipped through the book several times. Afer the fourth time she stopped at a page that showed a portrait of a man with ebony, half-length hair, in a long black coat... The face itself seemed familiar at once, but when Selene saw his eyes - dark and captivating like two black holes, she

Two Hours to Save a National Hero

Two Hours to Save a National Hero

" Sara was sentenced to five years. Her role in inciting the crime was fully established. On the day the verdict was handed down, I signed the divorce agreement. There were no assets left to divide because I had signed the very apartment the Austin siblings had schemed so desperately to steal over as a donation. I gave it to the Young Scientists Foundation under Michael's name. When Azaria learned of this, she called me and offered only a brief sentence, "Thank you." That Distinguished Merit Medal sat safely on the bookshelf in my office. Every day, before I put on my white coat, I took a moment to look at it. "In Service of the People, Michael Ellis, 1972." 50 years ago, a 29-year-old man w

The Life-Changing Trip

The Life-Changing Trip

"There are more than ten tunnels on this route. The one up ahead is the longest. It takes a full three minutes to pass through!" The moment I heard that, I looked at Phoebe excitedly. She froze for a moment, too, seemingly understanding what I was thinking. After a brief hesitation, she shyly gave a small nod. Three minutes might not be long, but it was more than enough. "Ready?" I asked quietly. I could tell that Phoebe had already reached her limit. Her body felt softer as she leaned into my arms. Phoebe nodded. However, her hand unconsciously rested against the front of my pants.

House Of Fire - Book One of Seven Series

House Of Fire - Book One of Seven Series

Childishly, she stomps on it with her heeled boot to appease her rage before letting out a small scream of frustration. I watch her make a dramatic exit before stepping out from between the shelves a couple of seconds later, eyes cautiously searching just in case. Shaking my head in amusement I trace my way back to the storefront and settle on one of the sofa’s to read. I feel the need to arm myself with a lot of knowledge now that I know what I could become, the first book I’d picked is called History of Elementals. On the first page is the beautiful design of the black interlaced knots in the middle of the page. Seeing the knot, I’m reminded of my black triquetra tattoo and shift uncomfort

The Pinnacle of Life

The Pinnacle of Life

A quarter of an hour was equivalent to fifteen minutes. “According to the record of the Rockefeller family, Blaine Rockefeller excluded, the descendants of the family could last a quarter of an hour at best. It is about fifteen minutes under normal circumstances.” Alex received the Holy Book from Nolan. As soon as he got his hands on it, it felt as light as a feather, as if it was weightless. However, that traitorous sensation from the heavenly law’s repulsion deepened while he held it.

I would love to have a no ending novel. But what we can expect. There will always be an ending. I think there will be a new story that will open on the last chapter whereas turn out to be Alex knows what will happen on his future. I wish the author continue like that… Thanks for this. Worth it…!!!!

i thought he'd be successful going and dominating the chi universe after obtaining the fiend lord's memories and start story with Zendaya... it would have been better if the diffracted universe had not been destroyed and he finally gets to live a peaceful life after all these........ But I loved it.

The Queen's Pawns

The Queen's Pawns

The enemies were just five meters away and they’re all hiding themselves in the debris. Hellion counted in her hands as she nonchalantly tossed away the nonsensical book in her arms. Never mind the charm of it bringing her to a dangerous place. The book has been shining in purple light since she held onto it. As long as she get rid of the damn book sooner then she would be fine.
