"Why should I care who Astrophel likes? He hardly ever likes anyone any one anyway and hates it if anyone is perceived to be better than he is. So, what do I care what he thinks, as long as Moon's Call has eyes for me?" "Well, Moon’s Call doesn't strike me as one who has eyes for a mate and I believe that your father has mentioned so one too many a time. He has tried severally to have him mate with one of the maidens in the village but the man has remained strongly adamant," Stella replied.

The question clawed at my mind, but I didn’t have an answer. “Miss?” The woman’s voice pulled me back. She was kneeling by the broken tray, picking up pieces of shattered pottery. “You shouldn’t be out of bed. You’re still very weak.” “I…” My voice came out as a croak. “Where am I?” “Bloodmoon Castle,” she said gently. “You’re in the west wing. His Majesty brought you here himself.” He brought me here. Himself. My wolf stirred again, her voice stronger this time. *Safe. He’s safe.*

Cassian sat across from me, his eyes on the fire. "I felt something earlier," I said. "When the scouts passed. It was like a warning. The mark knew they were coming before I heard them." Cassian nodded. "The Silverpine bloodline has always been connected to the Moon Goddess. She speaks to you through the mark. Guides you. Warns you." "Why didn't it warn me at the ceremony?" He looked at me. "Because you weren't ready. The mark was dormant. The bond awakened it. But it will take time for you to learn how to use it."

I'd better make them count where I could. "Well, my first question would be, should I go back to the castle?" "A question for the present that's directed at you, most patient mother." "Yes," a voice boomed from somewhere inside my chest, echoing around my head like an errant thought. The Moon Goddess's voice was like a babbling brook, a soothing current of a deep mezzo-soprano that made my muscles relax. "Go to your lover, for war comes for him. The seat of the Moon lies in the fall of the Eclipse. A new moon is the dark beginning, for all that is new must first be born of darkness."

Dieta de Lune, ma devo ti solasta gor libertia du essencia de ma harte de surita enilationa de ula exestian– Moon Goddess, I channel your power to free my loved one from the fate of a doomed life. Until Ethan's eyes opened.

His constellation is a bigger circle than the full moon—a bright ring formed by stars circled around a dense crowd of clustered stars within it. I love calling his constellation the second moon, and it feels so cliche but so right whenever I hear Al joking that Endymion only wakes up from his regal slumber every two years to whisper to Selene regarding the people she should mate together or not before going back to his sleep. Well…I could believe that myth if only Endymion will hear my prayers and whisper to Selene to make Dane my mate during the upcoming Mating Ceremony bound to happen about a couple months from now.

We bent to read the plaque. "Luna Jessica of the Blood Moon pack, the second of the pack to be Corrupted, victim of the Silver Hands." the plaque read. "Your mother," Mabel told me. She walked to a cabinet I hadn't noticed and got out a round, white rock. It was big enough to fit in the cup of her palms. "Moon rock," she told me. "Harnesses the light of the moon. It captures moonlight, and releases it when the user needs it."

Anastasia explained. "Such as?" "Like in January, it's the Ice Moon. In February, it's the Storm Moon. In March, it's the Wind Moon. In April, it's the Wild Moon. In May, it's the Fire Moon. In June, it's the Ghost Moon. In July, it's the Light Moon. In August, it's the Sing Moon. In September, it's the Blood Moon. In October, it's the Frost Moon. In November, it's the Oak Moon. And in December, it's the Wood Moon," replied Ms. Anastasia.

“Then what?” “Well, then we got the necessary spells from them. They showed us protection, fire, water, and even some basic attack spells. The priests were put in charge of practicing conjuring water from the air in order to have it prepared in case they needed to make holy water. With the witches on our side, the odds were back in our favor.”
