25min Timer Novels & Stories

I stepped further in, eyes scanning the padded training mats, the tossed towels, the digital timer on the wall that blinked a frozen 5:00 in bright red. Ronan noticed my gaze. He jerked his thumb toward the blinking numbers. "Come on, boys. Five minutes left on the clock." "Yeah," Colt rasped between gulps of air. "After three entire hours, Ronan. Three!" “Know how many ‘just five minutes’ made up those three hours? Come onnnn.” "Still means you should have something in the tank," Ronan replied, voice light but with that undertone of command that left no room for argument.

I looked to the computer and realized there was a timer on it. Looking at the timer, I realized it had ten minutes remaining on the countdown. “What the hell is this?” I wondered, as Carson came to stand over me. “What is it?” he asked, his attention on the timer. “I think it is ticking down to something,” I said, frantically typing away, trying to break through the barriers that had been put in place. Suddenly words flashed across the screen. “Ten minutes to boom time,” with lol following it. “Boom time?” Carson asked, when my face went white. “This has an explosive attached to it!” I exclaimed.

Once that was done, she picked up the kitchen timer and turned her attention to the group. “Alright, I’m going to set three minutes on the timer. When I say go, you’re going to write down as many baby items as you can think of. When the time is up. Whoever has the most items wins.” She informed us. She set the timer and then stated, “Go.”

I asked in anticipation as I saw Tristan. "So what?" Tristan asked, infuriating me. I was already impatient after I was shoved into the store room and he was prolonging the torture. "What's his time?" "Well, his timing is...," he paused for dramatic effect, "nineteen minutes and ten seconds, plus ten minutes minus twenty six minutes and fifty seconds plus five seconds multiplied by two and then divided by three, plus one hour minus fifty two minutes and thirty eight seconds-" "Tristan! Shut up and tell me his exact timing!" I knew I was close to punching Tristan by now if he kept this up.

Hardin said urgently, pointing to the two devices now lying scattered across the chamber floor. "Hacker, are you reading this?" Venom asked into his comm. "Loud and clear, boss. Give me visual on those devices." Venom held up his phone, focusing the camera on both detonators. "Can you disarm them remotely?" "Not remotely, but I can walk you through it. The good news is they're simple timer devices, not dead-man switches. The bad news is they're already counting down." "How long?" "Based on the display... four minutes and thirty seconds."

Day 50. 15 days. No watch beep after. I took it off. Put it in drawer. Done with counting. Now we fight.

One line stands out. PHASE TWO — EXECUTE TONIGHT Adrian’s gaze sharpens. “Timestamp.” Marcus answers instantly. “Twenty-two minutes ago.” My pulse spikes. “Then why say we only have ten minutes?” Marcus’s eyes meet mine. “Because the timer started twelve minutes before that.” The realization crashes over me. The bomb is already counting down. Margaret laughs suddenly. But the sound is strained now. “You’re all panicking over nothing.” Adrian turns toward her slowly. “You’re very calm for someone inside a building that might explode.”

"Gerald. Start them." Gerald crossed the room without a word and crouched over the nearest device. He hit something and the display flickered on. Then the next one. Then the next. One by one, the timers came to life. The ticking started. Low and steady and coming from everywhere at once. I stared at the countdown numbers. Ten minutes. I had ten minutes. The call was almost over. I could hear Madison's breathing shift, ready to hang up, when a voice cut through the air from somewhere outside the warehouse. Loud enough to carry through the walls.

“I trust you’ll be honest about the time.” “Of course,” I insist, my eyes now trained on the clock behind him, watching the second-hand tick around. “Then start timing me,” he growls. It takes him exactly two seconds to get his hand inside my panties. I place my hands on the counter on either side of me to keep myself steady as he slides his fingers through my folds. “So wet already,” he says with a wicked grin. “You have one minute and fifty seconds,” I tell him as the clock goes on ticking.

I muttered as I open the pack of cortexes and pull out the mini bomb Caleb gave me to use. I open the door and peek outside, the rude security isn't standing there, so I walk further out calmly and turn left, walking into the middle of the room, I push on the button on the boom and watch as the timer comes on and reads”12:56”. I have 12 minutes and 56 seconds to get to the next warehouse. I also stick the camera right next to the bomb and turn to walk off immediately. Further down the hall, the rude security comes into view, “What were you doing back there?”
