I told her. "Come home now." She said firmly. I looked at the clock, it was 2pm and I already had my lunch break. Wait, was I actually considering it?! "I can't." I told her.

Not court. Just 10:07 PM. Just home.

I want to know if she is okay or not but I will wait till she says talks to me when she feels like it. It was around 6:30 pm when Ryan dropped me off and the house was pitch black except for the driveway and porch lights. The house was also surrounded by guards, not many though. It doesn’t look like anyone was home when I came in so I just switched on the lights in the living room and went to my room to freshen up. I had an amazing and calming bath and changed into home clothes. It was 7 when I went downstairs again and the kitchen lights were on.

I looked at the time and saw that it's 3:00 pm. I walked back to where I parked the car and started driving back home.

* * Thanatos pov "...good, that's all for today, dismiss!" I said and turned off my laptop. I got up and massaged my stiffed neck, I walked towards the kitchen and headed for the fridge... I collected a bottle of water. I took large gulps, until I'm satisfied.. I sighed. My eyes landed on the wall clock, it's 02:34pm...f**k, the meeting was longer than I expected. Wait... 02:34pm?! It's almost time to pick up Davis from school...and Jasmine...

But when the time ticked at 2:30 pm, her phone beeped. Carden: Do you have time today?

I am not a famous though. Zelle: Where are you? I am already in the school I immediately typed to reply her. Me: I just left our house. I’ll be there in an hour. Hoping there are no traffic jams! And I sent the message to her. I left the house at about 6:30 since it was first day and there was nothing to do.

So, I change it to 'Midnight Rain', which brings me an unexplainable amount of comfort and relief. It's a four hour ride home and I left my apartment at 6:00 p.m., meaning I'll arrive there around 10:00 p.m. Great.

"Okay, take your time. Just bring it to me 30 minutes before 02:00 pm." "Alright, noted. Will go to my post now. Bye and thanks for the lunch, Damien." I didn't wait for him to answer, I just walked back to my office without looking back.

I let out a huge sigh of frustration, leaning back on the backrest. “How far is it from the house?” I ask my driver while looking at him through the rear-view mirror. He reciprocates with a glance. “Not far, sir.” “Well, hit the pedal.” I need to be home before 2pm so I can find myself in the gym to punch away my anger, as any moment from now I might go mad.
