When I hung up, I glanced at the clock. 9:42 p.m. I couldn’t help it. I grabbed my keys and left to go and see her at her house.

Grayham’s POV I positioned my hands on my hips and stared at the wall clock. I still can’t believe that I made it past the day or perhaps made it halfway. It was quarter past 1pm and I was yet to get a message from Miles and neither did I message him. In my defense, I had a lot in my hands. Perhaps he was waiting for me to text him first. Well, Unlike him, I have been so damn busy while he was probably having fun in my family villa.

- CAMERON - This took longer than I expected. I groan aloud walking, shutting the front door leading to my anti room. It’s past seven pm and one word to describe my day? It’s hectic. I drop my keys on the center table the moment I stroll into the living room. I relive my shoulders of my coat, twisting my shoulder backwards to give a self massage.

“Very active too.” I smiled softly while staring at the blurry image on the screen. My baby moved again. For a moment, happiness pushed everything else away. After the appointment, the driver took me home. By the time I arrived at the mansion, the sky had already turned orange with evening light. I changed into comfortable clothes and sat in the living room while waiting for Damian. Seven o’clock passed. Then eight. I finally picked up my phone and texted him. Are you still at work? A few minutes later, his reply came.

I fixed the note squarely on his nightstand, kissed his parted lips again and left the room. By then it was 2:30am. There was only one person I knew who'd be awake at this hour. Music was blaring in the background when he answered my call. "Tev, I need a lift."

But typing that out felt pathetic. Avery: I'll be there. I promise. 4 PM sharp. I hit send, shoved my phone back into my bag, and marched toward my car, determined to get through the rest of the day without losing my mind. By eight o'clock that evening, the main house was dead quiet.

I told her. "Come home now." She said firmly. I looked at the clock, it was 2pm and I already had my lunch break. Wait, was I actually considering it?! "I can't." I told her.

I want to know if she is okay or not but I will wait till she says talks to me when she feels like it. It was around 6:30 pm when Ryan dropped me off and the house was pitch black except for the driveway and porch lights. The house was also surrounded by guards, not many though. It doesn’t look like anyone was home when I came in so I just switched on the lights in the living room and went to my room to freshen up. I had an amazing and calming bath and changed into home clothes. It was 7 when I went downstairs again and the kitchen lights were on.

I looked at the time and saw that it's 3:00 pm. I walked back to where I parked the car and started driving back home.

* * Thanatos pov "...good, that's all for today, dismiss!" I said and turned off my laptop. I got up and massaged my stiffed neck, I walked towards the kitchen and headed for the fridge... I collected a bottle of water. I took large gulps, until I'm satisfied.. I sighed. My eyes landed on the wall clock, it's 02:34pm...f**k, the meeting was longer than I expected. Wait... 02:34pm?! It's almost time to pick up Davis from school...and Jasmine...
