I told him and pushed the car door open. I just waved my hand at him before I finally went inside our house. Since it was just 2 in the afternoon, my parents werent there yet. They're usually home by 7 or 8. The earliest is at 6, if they don't have business meetings. "Felice, you're home early," our house help head said. I just smiled at her and nodded. "Free cut," I said. Kayden teases, laughing. I slap his shoulder, fighting the fits of laughter about to tear through my empty stomach. "I am hungry, Mr Street food. Let me down." He fakes a frown and lets me down. The moment my legs touch the floor, I wobble a bit, feeling the blood rushing down to my toes. I glance over at the clock. It is 7pm already. "I really hope you have something to eat in this house. I really can't afford to go home hungry."

ADRIAN'S POV It's been two days since I was discharged from the hospital. I just got home from work at the clinic. I looked at the clock and it was almost 6:00 PM. The penthouse felt empty, silent, and lifeless. A part of me wondered if we had house staff, maybe I'd have someone to talk to when Damien isn't home.

POV: Damian It was Sunday afternoon and the time was currently 12:12 PM. The digital clock on the wall of the gym blinked the time in bright red numbers as I wiped the sweat from my forehead. I could still feel the burning pains in my muscle from the last set of weights, and my breathing was just beginning to settle into a normal pace again. The gym was a few floors below my penthouse of my building and it was almost empty at that hour. Only for the soft hum of the air conditioning and the faint clanking of metal plates disturbed the silence.

I finally opened my mouth pointing at her fingers where a book with my schedule written on it should be, I said, “Add that I will step out of the house at exactly 4 pm for an important meeting and will be back at 6 pm, now. And go tell the soldiers outside that I have an important meeting to attend at about… now!”

And maybe we can move forward. 8:27 PM I was pulling into the driveway and making my way up to the apartment. I was going to wait a few minutes and open the door on time at exactly 8: 30PM. I was a bit worried not sure how this day would play out but. I hope it would end for the better. 8:30 PM I put my key in the lock and started to turn them it was 8:30 am I wanted to be on time like I always was.
