It happened last year on April 15th. Lyla’s irises instantly shrank.

He let go of my hand as ordered by his boss but stood beside me. “Well Anderson, this is how it’s going to be. I know I can’t take a family member but you leave me no choice. You have 30days to bring back what you stole from me, and if the 30days are complete don’t blame me for whatever happens to your daughter.” He turned around about to make his way to exit. He nods again to his man which stood in front of me. He lifted me up the ground on his shoulders and carried me with them. I struggled again but it was all in vain.

The first March where the year had this shape instead of the previous one. Tuesday the fifth, William called at his usual time. “Minneapolis in spring,” he said. “I have the flights.” “Eleanor booked them,” I said. “Eleanor booked hers and James’s and Sophie’s,” he said. “I booked mine separately. I wanted to choose my own.” I understood that. “When,” I said. “April fourteenth,” he said. “I arrive April fourteenth. The centre breaks ground the seventeenth.” “Three days,” I said. “You’re giving yourself three days.”

“Sorry, handsome, but it’s not tomorrow. I was thinking the middle of April. I think the weather would be perfect for a beach wedding.” “About six and a half months. That seems doable. Are you sure? Because once we tell everyone, it’s going to be hard to change our minds.” “I’m sure. And my mom’s birthday is April 11; she could spend it in Italy. She’d love that.” Matt grabbed his phone from the nightstand and pulled up the calendar. “It’s a leap year, so the eleventh is on a Saturday this year. Why not just make that the wedding day?”

he said. “They were together?” she asked herself almost completely forgetting Billie’s critical condition. All the news mentioned about the possibility of a lockdown to be implemented immediately. She recalls Billie’s comforting words before he left for the US. “Remember our agreement that when we turn 25 years old and we are still single, we will date each other? See where we are now and we are not even 25 years old yet.” “And this trip? It’s supposed to happen after my US trip, which is still next month but I’m here now and I’ll be back again.”

Four days passed rapidly. Before long, the clock hit 12 AM. Another day showed up. It was April 21, 2021.

I ask. “Well, I reckon we should have everything done and dusted by Friday. I reckon that you should open for a soft launch next Monday and then have an official launch party on the Thursday evening, the 30th. That way the staff can get used to everything before the big night, and it gives us ten days to ramp up the PR and get the invites, et cetera, out.” Mum is cool as a cucumber, and the short deadline doesn’t seem to faze her at all.

" I rolled my eyes in response, I was not free. I had all these flowers to tie, but since he did help me, I excused myself around him — as he decided to sit in the chair like he owned the place — and went to the counter to open a page. "Okay we have the 13th, 26th and 29th available," "It's the 30th," he said pointing to the calendar, and I laughed and shook my head. "No until next January." "But, that's eight months away." I nodded in agreement. "Well, of course. We're booked out all days until then, and we don't do more than three events in a month — no matter when they are."
