“No, that's not what I mean. The mating bond physically doesn't allow you to take another if your fated mate is alive. Your wolf won't accept them and a male as strong as Keith would never be able to do it. Not without intervention of some sort.” “You think magic was involved?” I can't hide the shock in my voice. “I wouldn't rule it out,” Emma says looking around. “Enough of that talk for now. We could be overheard. For now, I have this for you.” She dug into the satchel at her hip and pulled out three leather bound books. “These are all the books I found on waking memory, I have two more coming here from a friend. I want you to start reading them. It's time you learned all you can do.”

At that moment, he understood what it all meant. As the Darke King climbed down from his horse, he joined the twins on a hilltop. They all spoke out in the old language as they lifted their hands to the sky. With a deafening shockwave that threw him to the ground, the three firestarters ignited the world, and Haldir’s eyes snapped open.

"Come back to me" I hear as I float inside the ether. I thought that the world was playing a trick on me. We have been traveling for so long with no destination. There is nothing here and I am lost. But the voice it echoes. It sounds like "Em-Emily" I say as my dragon chimes in calling for his mate. Something in my heart tugs. It's the first feeling I have had since we got stuck here. Knowing that I need to follow it I tug. With that one tug we go flying through the ether.

He stills and then stands, his hands to his mouth. “Holy fucking hell.” Morpheus rolls his eyes and nods, “Told you, obvious when you actually look.” He opens up his book again and goes back to reading. Eliza looks between the two of them, “I’m assuming you can’t tell me.” Sol tilts his head and groans; he runs his fingers through his hair and turns away from her to pace. “Okay then. Morpheus, is there a book here I’m allowed to read?” He smiles and nods. He clicks his fingers and a book appears on the coffee table. She raises an eyebrow but nods and picks it up. It’s an old leather-bound book, with a red leather cover and a gold emblem on the front, she turns it to read the spine,

I gasped as I looked back up at Xipher, and he smiled and softly nodded his head. “A storm is coming.” He said in a voice that sent dreaded shivers through my body as I turned, looking out over the glowing land. To Be Continued in BOOK THREE “GUARDIANS KINGDOMS”

The gemstone hit the bottom with a sharp crack, the sound echoing like something breaking inside me. Vincent, our game is over, I thought quietly.

I raise my hand to knock. The door opens. Emerald stands there. Her eyes are wide. Her hands are shaking. "C…Cassius," she says. "I need to talk to you." "About what?" She looks around. Checks the hallway. Then she pulls me inside. "I found something," she says. "What?" She holds up a book. Old. Leather-bound. "I found this in a hidden room. In the east wing. It is about the Dragon God. About his bloodline." I stare at her. "Where did you find this?"

Within the sanctuary, she discovered a community of vampires who had similarly sought refuge from the alpha's tyranny. Among the sanctuary's inhabitants were skilled warriors, wise elders, and individuals with unique abilities. They recognized the importance of Emily's lineage and her unborn child, understanding the potential they held in the face of the alpha's tyranny. The sanctuary became a place of solace and training for Emily as she honed her vampire powers and prepared herself for the inevitable confrontation with the alpha. Within the sanctuary, Emily also uncovered secrets about her mother's past and her own connection to the book of power. She delved into ancient tomes, sought coun

He froze. “Mother,” he whispered. “You need to see this.” Ariadne strode to him with Ianthe behind her. Alessia’s heart hammered. “What is it? Another assassin?” “No,” Eryx said. “Worse.” Alessia stepped closer and her breath left her lungs. Outside, across the solar horizon, three beams of light rose into the sky. One gold. One silver. One dark violet. A heralding and a declaration. The Three Empires had activated the Summoning Pyres.

I had failed her and our daughter, putting them in a situation I'd been trying to protect them from. "Keep reading," Emily said. Refocusing my attention back on the book, my eyes scrolled across the words "Power of Three," and I immediately threw the book across the room, knocking over a lamp. We were screwed. The coven of evil witches was dead. If this was karma; it had a sick and twisted sense of humor, and I was not a fan. I felt like I had no control like everything was slipping through my fingers.
