My voice sounded hoarse and scratchy as it crawled up my throat. “Shh, don't speak,” Nathan whispered and moved to the foot of the bed. I shook my head. I wished more than anything that what I witnessed was not real. The visions of the night came back. The fight with the vampires, my brothers, Dimitri, the dead wolves, Sampson. I remembered the fear that traveled through my body as I was chased into the woods. I remembered seeing my brother through the smoke of a fire my best friend had set. And I remembered nearly mauling my brother to death.

Val put all the notes in her locker safely, she didn't know why she did that. Val had nightmares when she is alone in her house. Every time she would wake up with heavy heart. She don't know why she would get nightmares like she is drowning in darkness all the time. This started when she was eighteen. No one knows about her nightmares except Sheela. Sheela always suggested Val to start a relationship in order to get rid of nightmares but Val refused. When Jack is around she never had nightmares which confused her.

He just holds me, his thumb drawing lazy circles against my back. Finally, Erden tilts my head up to met his eyes. “How long have you had these nightmares?” “Since Nyra disappeared,” I whisper. “No one knows except Dr. Michelle, and my therapist.” “What do you see?” I've never spoken about my nightmare with anyone, not even Cade. After two nights when I kept kicking and couldn't sleep, Cade moved his things to another room, only visiting my room for sex on some nights. But Nyra only appeared when I am stressed, or emotional, and she has been coming a lot lately.

I had failed her, despite promising myself that I wouldn't let her cry. My mood soured and I felt shittier than before. “Let's sleep.” She nudged, trying to place my back on the bed. I resisted. “Damon,” she sighed. “What if I have another nightmare?” I had had five nightmares in two days. I didn't think closing my eyes was a luxury I wanted to engage in anymore. It was as if the demons in my subconscious lurked around nearby, ready to yank me into darkness anytime I let down my guard and closed my eyes.

Faith's Pov: I woke with a gasp, my chest tight as if I had just run a marathon in my sleep. The nightmares were relentless, plaguing my every dream. I hadn’t had a peaceful night’s sleep since I was a child. Every time I tried to close my eyes, I was pulled into a nightmare that felt too real, too vivid. I blinked rapidly, my gaze falling to the alarm clock next to my bed. Three in the morning. Of course. I groaned in frustration, flopping back down onto my pillow, my body a tangled mess of frustration and exhaustion.

I could see that he was genuinely worried. “Yes, it was just a nightmare. A chillingly lifelike and haunting dream...” I mumbled, my voice sounded groggy. It was just a nightmare, right? A small chuckle escaped me and I looked up at him. “I guess that is why it’s called a nightmare. Night terrors often feel incredibly realistic.” I could still feel the remnants of fear lingering in my mind, as if the dream had embedded itself into my thoughts. The more I tried to shake it off, the stronger its grip on me became.

The clock struck 1 am, adding to her despair. Feeling lost and overwhelmed, she crouched down beside a sleek black car and unraveled into sobs. It had been an unsettling night, filled with one of her usual nightmares that had left her sleep-deprived and disoriented. Whenever she woke up from the terrifying dreams, snippets of different scenarios flickered before her eyes. Some involved a haunting accident, while others featured a pulsating club party. The visions overlapped in her mind, creating an indistinguishable mess that she couldn't shake off.

Alpha Ortega Damon I sprang up on the bed panting heavily, beads of sweat trickling down my forehead. I look at the time and saw it was 12:30 am which means I have only slept for thirty minutes before having this nightmare I growled in anger and climbed down from the bed. I walked to my window and stood with my two hands crossed behind my back. This nightmare has been haunting me for the past twenty-six years. I never had a good sleep for twenty-six years, my past haunts me like a prey

“People are talking. Something’s wrong.” More wolves started trickling in, all looking various degrees of exhausted. Whispered conversations filled the air: “couldn’t sleep” “kept seeing” “felt so real” “third night in a row” Wait. Third night? “This has been happening for three nights?” Selene asked. “Started small. A few people here and there. Everyone figured it was just stress, you know? Rogue attacks, political tension, the usual.” Kira rubbed her face. “But last night was bad. Almost everyone had nightmares. Vivid ones. The kind that make you wake up not sure what’s real.”

Mom glances over at me with a curious look and then states, "Breakfast will be ready in a minute. I threw some cinnamon rolls in the oven and they still have a minute or two before they are brown." Smiling, I reply, "Oh, that sounds yummy mom. Thanks." Sitting down at the table, I wait patiently as I drink my orange juice. Mom glances over at me again and asks, "Did you have anymore nightmares last night?" "Yes, I don't know what is going on. Ever since Billie gave me Charlie, I have been having this same bad dream over and over. It is so real that I peed the bed, I'm sorry."
