Jake's POV “ Grandma please tell us a story” I looked up from the book I was reading to find a 5 year old with my aged nanny. It was her grand daughter. It was raining hard and dark. Everything seemed gloomy. There had been no news yet and I was gradually loosing my patience. My nanny smiled at her. “ Alright come sit on my lap. We don't want to disturb your highness” she muttered. Then she cleared her throat. “ Are you ready?”

"Wait, what?" "Yeah," I smile. "I was five, and Rex was seven. Mom, Dad, and I went here for a vacation once. It was the time they were making you." "Can you stop with that?" Ares groans. "Just having images of our parents having sex is disturbing."

I would get four new storybooks for now, and once they got exhausted, I would go for another. “Good evening, ma’am,” the older lady behind the counter said at my entrance into the bookstore, her eyes staying on me. I flashed a bright smile. “Good evening.” I moved over to the counter, where she stood behind it, and placed my hands on it. “What can I get you?” the polite lady asked. “I need at least four intriguing storybooks for a five-year-old boy.” Her brow rose in interest. “Ah, the ever-curious five-year-old boys, eh?”

I walked over to the children's books area, I was thankful no one was around as I sat down in a beanbag after grabbing a few books to read. "Ella, stop slouching around and get to work" my manager yells at me, there was no one in the shop while I was sitting around here. I looked up to see a woman standing next to the register, I huffed angrily and put the book away before walking over to the nice looking lady. "Hi ma'am, how may I help you?" I ask the woman, she was only about five feet tall, with brown long hair and brown eyes. "Hello, I'm here for the new werewolf story" she says looking at me, I tried my best to hide under my own overgrown bangs.

Bernita said and went to get her a story from the bookshelf. After some minutes Bernita came back holding a storybook and said, "Here... Take it, I believe you will like it." Saying that she gave her the book and immediately she turned to leave, Cindy called her, "Bernita." "Yes miss," Bernita answered. "Thank you for the book and your caring." Cindy appreciated her for everything she did and Bernita bowed down gently and left. The storybook was interesting and as she was reading it, she didn't know when and how the day went by so quickly.

I ordered. She obeyed, but only up to her knees. Small progress. I sat on the left side of the bed and grabbed the thinnest book before Poppy could hand me the children’s novel that was roughly the size of a legal textbook. “One story.” “One and a half.” “There’s no such thing as half a story.” “We stop in the middle and finish tomorrow.” “That’s called a nightmare.” Footsteps approached from the hallway. Poppy’s head snapped toward the door. Sebastian stopped in the doorway.

I ended the call and strolled out to the balcony with my peace lily plant in tow. The afternoon sun was like a cozy blanket, all warm and lazy. Down below, a girl in a white dress was on her tiptoes, reaching for a balloon tangled in a tree. A boy dashed up, gave her a playful hair tousle, and with a quick jump, snagged the balloon for her. She grabbed it and planted a kiss on his cheek, leaving him blushing like a tomato. I watched them and could not help but crack a smile. Life was good.

"Nubia. Sit down. Tell me everything. From the very beginning." We sit on my small couch. I tell her the whole story. The bus being late. Him speaking for the first time. The sketchbook. The drawing of me. The diner. The pie. The walk to the car. The ride home. Every detail. Every word I can remember. Amina listens without interrupting. This is rare for her. When I finish, she leans back and lets out a long breath. "Okay," she says. "I understand now." "Understand what?"

] Now, let me tell you a story. • Once upon a time , there was a little girl named Daisy. She was smart and bubbly and full of life. When it came to expressing her feelings and thoughts, she lacked a little; because she cared too much about what others would feel and maybe they would get a wrong impression of her. Though she was just 10, she was very thoughtful and considerate. So, whenever she had anything to say to her friends or family, which was hard to get off her chest, she use to write letters. The letters used to be the specific people and she would let go of her through her words. She felt safe, relaxed and far from the fear of being misunderstood. The letters were her comfort zone

I point my hand signaling him to come in. “Thank you, I will be fast for it is almost noon.” He said then goes inside the bathroom. I just sit down the bed and finish the book. It was fun reading it too. Seeing pictures on how to do things like dance, curtsy or how a man will kiss the maidens hand. I was like a 5 year old reading a picture book. Unknowingly I fell asleep.
