Breaking Up and Moving Up

Breaking Up and Moving Up

Orlando and I had been together for ten years. I'd looked after his sick mom, sweating out a fever of my own, and where was he? Knocking back drinks with Rosalind, playing therapist to her broken heart. I swallowed my pride at work, getting chewed out by my boss, while he spent the night companying Rosalind because she had cramps. Then, when I got the news my mom had passed, I tried calling him, desperate for support. But nope—phone off. After a wild goose chase, turns out he was at Rosalind's graduation. That was it. I gave up. But Orlando wouldn't let go. Red-eyed, he begged me for just one more chance.

“Don’t hesitate to call us if you are in trouble.” “Yeah,” Maya agreed. “We are just one call away so don’t think too much and just ring us up. We will drop everything just to be with you as soon as we can.” I don’t feel any pretentiousness in their smile and I can feel that every word they say comes with nothing but sincerity. And to be honest, I don’t know what I feel. I want to cry but I don’t think it is a good moment for that. I was too overwhelmed by what they were making me feel.

Rising from the Ashes

Rising from the Ashes

He quickly said, "If you're feeling better, then get up. This isn't the time for this. Let's find the others and see what's going on." Natasha stood up with obvious disappointment but did not make a fuss about it. She knew this was a critical time. Besides, Andrew's touches had been quite stimulating for her, and she had gotten some satisfaction from it. "That pill of yours is amazing. I feel all warm inside now—no more dizziness, and I'm not even scared anymore!" Andrew laughed, "That was a Revitalization Elixir, a high-grade sixth-level elixir. Of course it's amazing."

Reynir Kjartansson
Very good story and the ending was relatively good since each part of the story give a obvious closure. The audio book is also available the whole story. Other authors should follow this example. There is nothing worse than a forced ending or a cut off story, so this story gets all stars, great job!

Rising From the Ashes

Rising From the Ashes

“Hey, where are you stumbling off to?” “Jack is taking us out for lunch, so I am off to get some shoes” I told him as I slowly carried on walking. I looked up the stairs and swallowed the lump in my throat. I needed to stop been a wimp and do this. I lifted my left leg and placed it on the first step. “See easy” I told myself as I lifted my right leg and put it on the next step “just keep going till you reach the top, slow and steady wins the race” I kept telling myself as I slowly made my way up the stairs. I finally made it to the top and looked down to see Jack. “I made it” I smiled down at him.

Grief lay heavily on both their shoulders. “I’ve asked Preacher Miller to coordinate with the other speakers,” Vanessa said. “I’m so glad you were able to have your own preacher come to help with the service.” Steven nodded. “He’s a good man.” Vanessa nodded, searching for something else she could say. When Lois reached out and touched her arm, she started. “Thank you,” Lois said, her eyes filling with tears. “Having Preacher Miller speak words of comfort means a lot to us.” Vanessa pulled the older woman in for a quick hug. “Let’s go get set up. People will begin arriving soon and we’ll need to be ready to greet them.”

Build You Up

Adrian lifts me in the air, my legs instinctively wrapping around his bare waist, the sweat on his skin slick against my legs. My shorts rise up, bunching tightly against the ache between my legs. His touch makes my body feel so alive. His large hands are carrying me, gripping my butt until my back hits the side of his truck, the warm metal frame pressing against me, making my back arch into Adrian’s chest. A carnal moan leaves his chest. His mouth is devouring mine, making me whimper. His tongue slips in, caressing against mine, then fervently massaging and tangling in a delicious battle of wills.

Rising From the Ashes

Reaching out, I managed to grab ahold of the window ledge. Whenever Xavier and I would train together, we would compete to see who could do the most amount of push ups. He normally won, but there were a couple of times I managed to beat him. He also taught me to do pull ups as well. I was never as good at it as he was. I would roll my eyes at him whenever he would try to show off by doing one armed pull ups.

Rising from the ash

Since going back to sleep was out of the question, she started scrolling through her notifications, hoping to at least pass the time. Her I*******m feed was the usual mix of posts from friends, influencers, and random pages she followed. She stopped at a picture of her high s cute girl named Chloe, on vacation. The girl was posing in front of a waterfall, her caption reading: *Woke up to this view! Can’t complain!* "Must be nice," Sophia muttered, double-tapping the photo before continuing to scroll. A few posts down, she saw a picture of Katrina—the last person she wanted to think about this early in the morning. The girl had uploaded a selfie with a few of her friends, captioned: *Some of

51: The Series

Lindsay was back at her desk with more reports of weirdness to read. Viktor had worked the night shift with Max and had barely spoken to her when she arrived at the office. Lindsay had the feeling that someone had spoken to him about the day before. She looked at the reports Max and Viktor had written for the calls they had during the night. She picked up the first one to read it and began to laugh. The first one was not even a call they had received. They had been returning to the department when a massive creature walking upright ran in front of the patrol car. They had seen one of what she and Wren referred to as her large friends.
