It was a place for high-level members only and was well-known among the elite as a place where one could freely express their identity under strict and private rules. The atmosphere inside The Crimson Lounge was as luxurious and mysterious as its name suggested. The walls were lined with deep, crimson velvet, contrasting with the polished mahogany furniture. I DID NOT belong to those monsters. “Metal bars will be installed on the railing on your balcony, so you wouldn’t run away and you’ll be locked inside most of the time. You’ll however be provided with food and water and things you can use to kill time.” I was going to be imprisoned.

Raymond’s POV The first thing that struck me was the sound. The arena was alive with it—rolling waves of voices, cries, growls, chants, all mixing together until it no longer sounded like language, but like the roar of a storm. I stood just behind Jude’s platform, half-hidden in the shadows, clutching the railing so tightly my hands ached. The Crimson Arena was vast, carved out of black stone and ringed with fire that burned with unnatural colors—purple, green, and deep crimson. The flames licked upward as though they fed not on oil or wood, but on something living. The smell made me gag.

KADE POV I watch the smoke curl from Brynn’s lips, disappearing into the night air. God, I’ve never wanted to be a cigarette so badly—just to feel those lips wrapped around me. Something in her whispered words makes me shift—a flicker of genuine concern breaking through my professional veneer. “One cage for another. Yeah.” I lean against the railing, letting a brief understanding pass between us. “The difference,” I murmur, “is that Vex’s cage has golden bars. Comfortable prison.”
