A Christmas Story Movies Novels & Stories

Christmas movie or not I'm down to figure out why she loves it. Amelia sits down on one end of the couch and I squeeze in beside her, so that her legs are dangling over my legs. Bianca and Briella sit beside me while mum and Bryan both settle into and armchairs. The movies actually pretty good, I don't know if I would classify it as a Christmas movie because I don't really like Christmas movies and this one was actually enjoyable. Amelia huddles a cup of tea against her chest as she watches, her hand absentmindedly running through my hair. Occasionally I can see her taking a quick scan of the room and smiling to herself before turning her attention back to the TV.

I ask her. “Well, Halloween.” “I love Halloween. I like to dress up as a werewolf,” I say, making her laugh. “That’s also when all the scary movies are on TV.” “I’m not a big fan of the scary movies,” she says. “That’s okay, this time of year, some networks start showing the Christmas movies. Oh and you know what? I just remembered, there’s a HUGE Christmas display in the city. They have music, hot chocolate, lights, all of it. I’d love to take you there. We could make it a date night,” I say, watching her reaction.

Christmas was looming, yet somehow, it didn't feel quite as festively joyful as it had other years. "I told you," I muttered, not turning around. "I'm fine. Just. it's a lot. The holidays. Everything. Hazel, the house. Your mom." Jaxon let out a deep sigh as he stepped inside and carefully closed the door behind him. "I understand. It's a lot for you." A beat later, he strolled over to where I was standing, his voice now low. "I want you to know, though, that I'm not doing this to make anything harder. I just want to give Hazel the best Christmas possible.

the boy knew his way around…… About forty five minutes later they sat on the couch with their food. “Christmas movie?” Asher asked. “For sures ….” Em said. “For sures?” Asher asked her. “Yeps” Emerson stated. “Is this gonna be our thing now? Ending everything with ‘s’?” Asher asked her. “Absolutelys” she said grinning. Asher turned on ‘Christmas with the Kranks’ and they gobbled up their food. When they were done they were so full they both laid down to finish the movie.

Nathaniel's POV The soft glow of the candles Annie had scattered around the living room wrapped the whole space in this warm, cozy atmosphere that felt like the perfect counterpoint to the icy December chill outside. We were sunk into her couch, each holding a mug of hot chocolate, watching one of those completely predictable Christmas movies that play nonstop this time of year. On-screen, the hero was sprinting through an airport to catch the woman he'd fallen madly in love with after what… two weeks? A dramatic soundtrack swelled behind him. Annie laughed, almost choking on her drink.

One soft click. The picture came out tasteful but teasing, enough to make him grin. She smiled, selected Darren’s name, hit send. Then tossed her phone onto the bed and poured herself a glass of cheap red wine. Next week, she'd have her bags packed, ready to head to Maysville, the small town she'd grown up in for Christmas. Her holiday plan was just perfect! Her playlist hummed to life; jazzy, lazy Christmas tunes filling the air. For the first time all day, her shoulders relaxed. She even started humming along, thinking about what tomorrow morning would look like. Morning pancakes, bad movies, Darren’s laugh…

Of course, Orison has something romantic playing on the screen because it’s freaking Christmas. “Dad, I can’t today,” I tell him, and just then, I come face to face with the television screen, and I freeze, my jaw going slack right as my heart comes to halt and drops to the bottom of my stomach. I can’t be seeing right. “Honey,” Dad calls, but my ears have started ringing with the amount of blood that rushes to the organs. I don’t believe in the holidays, but please Santa, please! Tell me that Orison has started a career in pornography, because I can see him on a live field, having sex with someone who isn’t me.

Just like that, I told him everything that was happening, excluding my one-night stand story. As predicted, he was furious. Just like Emily, he has never liked Josh for me. The call ended, but not without me letting him know not to let anyone know what happened. I quickly had my bath and changed into something more comfortable. Today is Christmas, and I will have a fun-filled evening. It dawned on me that I did not see any Christmas trees hanging around anywhere. Nothing feels like the season around here. Everywhere is quiet. I might as well shop for a Christmas tree with my best friend and light up the house.

he said. “I’m not sleepy.” “Then we can talk,” he replied. “About what?” “About anything that isn’t about kidnappers, plane crashes, or crazy admirers.” I smiled. “Deal.” We talked about small things. Work, his childhood, my aunt, and funny stories. He told me about how he once burned an entire pot of rice and blamed it on the stove. I laughed so hard my back hurt. “Stop laughing,” he said. “You’re injured.”

Whispers followed me everywhere. "I can't believe she's that kind of person." "The more innocent they look, the wilder they are." "That coat she's wearing? It's Chanel's latest. The rumors on the campus forum must be true." I retrieved my phone to check the campus forum. My entire body was shaking from anger. Sharon actually spread dirty rumors about me on the campus forum. [A Golden Apple on Christmas Day Exposed Our Fake Friendship!] She accused me of flaunting wealth with a golden apple on Christmas Day and scamming them out of an expensive meal.
