In the movies, everyone’s always kissing each other and falling in love with fireworks in the background...” She trailed off. “But that magic isn’t really doing anything for me. Oops!”

“You’d be surprised how many people haven’t seen it.” I laughed. “It’s a Christmas staple here. My eldest brother loves it, but I always have to watch Christmas Chronicles. He’d never seen it before and didn’t realize it was a Christmas story until it began. He sat through the whole thing though, almost in defiance. It was an okay flick, sentimental and very, very white. He did, however, enjoy the scene where Jimmy Stewart offered to lasso the moon for the girl he was crushing on, the ultimate gift. Yeah, that made him smile. Given the chance, Aiden would do the same for Danny.

I curled up with Chris in his bed as we watched a movie. He’s been worried about me over the past week, which I feel bad about. I hate worrying everyone. Chris surprised me with a home-cooked dinner and a movie; A Journey Back to Christmas, my favorite Christmas movie ever. I sighed as we watched, “What’s wrong?” Chris asked; I shook my head, but Chris was not about to take that for an answer. He paused the movie and straightened up, waiting for me to talk to him.
