That the pain increases near the full moon. And that only blood magic can cure it.” He stared at me, silent. I continued, my voice low. “The cure needs to come from a chosen bloodline. I don’t know who or what that is yet, but I’ll find out. I swear, Caspian. I’ll help you.”

The edge pricked my finger, and it was bleeding now. But instead of falling, the blood seems like the dagger absorbed it. "What's happening? Are you ok, Evolet?" Blaze asked. I nod. I do not want to look away. The blood disappeared, and the letters seem to rearrange themselves. I could read what it says now. To break the curse, one needs to die. The one whose blood is blue!
