My mother had given me her pearl set which included a pearl and Saphire bracelet and earrings that were laced with gold streaks, it also had a pearl necklace that was also laced with gold streaks in it and had real diamond shards inside of them. I then put some deodorant on and applied the Beyonce perfume that smelt like rosebuds

It was an elegant white gown made of silk, hugging my neck and arms conservatively. Yet it accentuated every curve of my body, with a subtle peek of my legs revealed whenever I walked, thanks to the gown’s slit. The dress flowed all the way to the ground. After applying some powder and lipstick and brushing my hair—thank goodness it was healthy, so I didn’t have to stress about styling—I let it fall freely down my back. Then I slipped on a pair of earrings.

This wasn't a peaceful retreat; it was a military compound disguised as a luxury estate.
