My head spun with dizziness, and fear coiled tight in my stomach. The dolphins whistled sharply, alarmingly, their bodies tense against mine. One darted forward, slapping its tail against the water. The other echoed the call, shrill and urgent. And then, like magic, five more dolphins appeared, cutting through the waves with speed and grace. I blinked, salt stinging my eyes. “You called for help…” My voice cracked with disbelief. The pod closed in, forming a half-circle around me. Their sleek bodies moved with unison, an unspoken rhythm that made the shark hesitate.

"Joewella, take this pearl and send it to Lala, my messenger dolphin. This is my daughter's property but she won't need it until she reaches 18." "ARRRGGGHHH!" I grunted in pain from falling off the bed.I shivered in pain as another memory came in. This time, it wasn't from the empress but the dolphin. The pod all sang a sad tune mourning for their King, dolphins, whales, and fish joined them on their journey. A beautiful dolphin swam beside Loralei and with its nose, gently nudged her belly. Loralei smiled and a clicking sound left her mouth causing all the mammals to set off into high pitched whistles. Trent looked nervous at the interaction, “The dolphins can sense the power in Loralei’s belly, she answered her question, confirming she’s pregnant with our babies. The dolphins are now celebrating”, Jack’s voice came into his head. “She can speak dolphin?”, he asked.

He tilted to the side and let Leila’s hand skim through the water, quickly and precisely. Unexpectedly, the water felt warmer than she imagined and it was sparkling and clear. A lively silver-colored fish leapt just above the the ceaseless rolling waves, breaking through the water’s surface then swimming back below. A family of dolphins were passing by, just below the crystal blue waters.
