Pods of dolphins made circles in the sand, their way of hunting only native to these parts. Every now and then, the occasional nurse shark would break the surface, their fins slowly gliding over the water.

August's POV This feels so awesome. How come I just rode a big dolphin? Yes, you read it correctly. A freaking huge bottle-nose dolphin. Oh, haven't I identified yet? It's like a horse when it's under the sea and a water horse when it's on the surface. Why do they still call it water horse, when they can call it sea horse? The sea horse is more suitable there than the water horse. But I didn't think too much about it because it was just stressful.

He had no interest in watching the dolphins at all. But seeing her happy and satisfied expression, he also felt joy. "Hey, Puddy Forger, come here and look! These two dolphins are dancing together!" The two dolphins, about three meters away from the boat, suddenly swam closer and kept leaping out of the water as if they were dancing. I wave at them and then follow the dolphins some more, entranced by their beauty. Eventually however, I get tired and the dolphins turn their heads once and bob, as if to say goodbye to me. Then they dive deep into the waves, and I’m all alone. Popping my head out of the water, I look around for a minute while treading water. Weird. There’s nothing in sight for miles. I don’t see the boat, nor do I see other people, or even any land. I pop my head back into the water, and the reef is long gone. I’m in the open ocean now.

I raised my gaze from the water to see a pod of dolphins, at least four or five of them, leaping through the water. “Dolphins!” I squeaked with excitement, jumping up and down with glee. Which meant I promptly fell face first into the water. “You okay?” Bastian asked, saving my paddle for me as I climbed back onto my board. “Dolphins!” I squealed again, grinning with sheer delight. Bastian laughed at my childlike enthusiasm as the pod swam closer. I wished I could touch them, but they changed direction and went off in search of food in deeper water.

I wanted the ocean to go on for forever, and I liked the illusion that it did. Noah suddenly disengaged our handhold and took off for the water. He sprinted across the sandy beach and ran into the foam of the waves. I hurried after him, afraid he had seen something that needed rescuing. Dolphins had been known to wash up on shore, or even exhausted swimmers. When I caught up to him, he held up a small bucket with various plastic shovels attached to the handle. They were just cheap, plastic beach toys, but he held them up in victory as though he had rescued a mermaid.

Alora looks over at me with a radiant smile, "This is amazing, Lorenzo, thank you so much for bringing me out here." I smiled back at her warmly, "Anything for you." We continued to sail through the waves until we came across a pod of dolphins leaping through the water. Alora gasped at the sight and I could see the excitement bubbling within her. I turned off the engine and we watched as the dolphins swim and play around us. Alora’s eyes widened with wonder as she watched them, "They're so beautiful." I nodded in agreement, "They really are. Watching them is like watching pure joy in motion."
