She held up a little book. "It's called 'The Brave Dolphin and the Lost Whale.' If you think it's okay, would you give it to Emma as a gift?" I took the book, flipping through the pages of writing and drawings. The story was beautiful and matched Emma's level. It was about Emma's courage rather than Sophia's mistakes.

He looked sinfully good. For a moment, I forgot how to breathe. “Hot,” I muttered under my breath before catching myself. “I mean—the dolphins! The dolphins are hot!” Cassian burst out laughing, his eyes lighting up. “Are they now?” I bit my lip, embarrassed. He stepped closer, standing beside me as he pointed toward the dolphins. “They usually travel in groups near these waters. Sometimes whales too, if we’re lucky.” His voice was so calm and so patient that I wanted to listen to him for hours.

Caden and I stared into each other's eyes before he leaned in and softly teased my lips. He pulled me closer as I teased his lips back. I watched him slowly close his eyes as he pulled me into him, wrapping his arms tightly around me as we swayed back and forth to the slow melody. I heard some sounds. I looked over to see some sea animals. "Oh my God! Caden, dolphins!"I exclaimed, excitedly and walked towards the edge of the yacht. "And sea lions too." I watched them swim about, totally fascinated. Caden stood beside me looking less excited as I am.

Slowly, he lifted his eyes to mine, one brow arched. The weight of his stare nearly knocked the air from my unstable lungs. “…Excuse me?” His voice was flat, calm in a way that felt almost lethal. My cheeks flamed. “Uh—I mean. Sloths can actually hold their breath longer than dolphins. Forty minutes compared to ten. Which is insane, right? Because dolphins are literally built for swimming, and sloths… well, they look like they’d drown in a puddle.” Silence. I know. I know.

They are harmless and even have been reported to be friendly to humans on many reports from sea farers. "The couple are certain one Dolphin was drowning." "Drowning? How can a Dolphin drown?" "Aquatic animals don't drown! It is land animals and humans that-" A giant hand seemed to have squeezed the air out of my lungs. All the air in them seemed to rush into my ears with a whoosh. It felt I had been shot in the cold as a series of images seemed to play in my mind. Zavi in pain and making a desperate attempt to live. Closing my eyes and swallowing air through my mouth did not help. No matter how hard I tried the images just did not go away.

Sometimes the dolphins would dive deeper into the water, sometimes they would fully surface, and sometimes they would even jump through the air. I just followed her, we were about to go down the stairs when someone pulled my hair, immediately choked me with her arm and I let go of the crossbow on the floor. I felt cold all over my body as I shouted which alerted Mrs. De Silva. She immediately pointed her weapon at Belle. "Bye!" "No!" I shouted. We suddenly disappeared from the mansion and the last thing heard is when Mrs. De Silva shouts to stop Belle before we drown in darkness.
