Awakening - Eve Of Eden
The femme appears again, halting him with a hand on his arm, and they pause, as do I, as I feel what has alerted her.
Like a soft breeze of iciness, tinged with dread, which moves along the ground and through the plants, like a carpet of fog. A sense of suddenly not being alone as something atmospheric sets your teeth on edge and your hair rises on your body. It’s what fear feels like when it comes at a slow creep and overcomes all of your senses, making you immobile and frozen without any will to escape.
I feel it as it seeps into my every fiber, and it pauses my breath as the terror takes a chokehold.
