Fated

Fated

Suddenly, the book flipped open and the pages began to flutter back and forth. I stood up in shock, knocking my chair over as I did. The sound of the chair clattering against the floor broke Miriam from her thoughts. She grinned as she saw the book, laying open to a page labeled "Hybrids". "Miriam." I sputtered. "What was that? That book just moved and flipped pages on its own. That's not any kind of fae magic I've ever seen." She looked at me, amusement in her eyes. "I told you, it's my book, it responds to me. I'm spirit fae, and while I may not know much about what that means, I do know that I have a connection to dark magic."

at first the information on the blurb was kind of overwhelming and read like there were lots of details included but the writing and premise make this a fun, interesting read. lots of supernatural elements in the mix and great world-building. good job, author

Horror Nights

Horror Nights

I have watched the light in you begin to flicker. It started on your thirtieth birthday. You didn't run as hard. You stumbled on the third step, catching yourself with a hand that felt brittle. The light of the house seemed dimmer that night, or perhaps it was just your eyes, clouded by the whiskey and the crushing weight of everything you hadn't accomplished. I surged forward. My fingers—long, ink-black claws—grazed the back of your neck. You didn't turn, but you gasped, a sound of genuine, existential dread. You knew, didn't you? Somewhere deep in the lizard brain, you knew that the darkness wasn't chasing you anymore. It was catching up.

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though a Mirror Darkly

Though its cold burning scorched my skin I said nothing, driving along that endless country road, while he mumbled words which flowed from his lips with an odd, foreign lilt sounding intimate and familiar, strange and alien all at once. And the night sky. It burned with black stars. I know this probably doesn’t make sense. How can you see black stars against the blackness of night? Of course, a night sky is never completely black. It’s a dimness lit by faint, ambient light. Against this burned great stars of utter blackness. Gazing at them made my blood freeze. The road ended abruptly at a wide lake. Its glass surface shimmered under the black moonlight as yellow, misshapen things frothed in

she mumbled, intrigued. Nueva flicked to the last page, and a nightmarish creature covered in red fur with large canine fangs stared at her dead-on with its vile green orbs. She instinctively closed the book; her chest rose in short ragged breaths. Nueva quickly tied the string back around the cover and placed the book neatly back in the waiting slot.

The Billionaire's Hidden Son

The Billionaire's Hidden Son

“There lived a little firefly named Flicker. Flicker loved to play hide-and-seek with the moon, but he was always the first to be found. His light was so bright, it lit up the entire night sky! One night, Flicker was feeling sad. He wished he could be as good at hiding as his friends, the little owls. He flew to the wise old owl, Hoot, and asked for advice. Hoot chuckled and said, "Flicker, your light is your strength, not your weakness. Use it to your advantage!" Flicker thought about Hoot's words. He flew to a dark corner of the forest and used his light to create shadows, hiding himself behind them. The moon couldn't find him! He was finally a good hider!

The Scenery of Darkness

The Scenery of Darkness

He seemed to want to say something but he couldn’t continue or he didn’t want to say. “Carding.” Sounds threatening I said. “I’m starting to get annoyed at you, maybe you don’t want to be to be fired, right? I’m sleepy and I want to sleep, so make this car run so I can go home.” I said irritably. He was still confused when the machine started. I leaned back neatly on the backrest, and closed my eyes. I’m sitting under the big tree at school. With book on my hand, reading alone. I just stopped when someone suddenly pulled me. I’m surprised. The book I was reading fell off and left my belongings on the bench.

Mated To The King Of Darkness

"Time of Darkness, excellent choice." She had a calm voice say from behind her and she almost jumped in her skin. She should have been used to this by now. They moved really quickly and their steps were usually silent. The intruder was right in front of her in an instant. Delice. Something twinkled in her eyes as her they roamed the book cover. "They were dark times indeed." Zezi looked at the cover, it was just a black hardcover with 'Time of Darkness' written in a large zig-zag red font.

Midnight Feast

Midnight Feast

A familiar place where she was stripped down from head to toe as she couldn’t hide her true self when she’s in the dark. Layla was surprised to see flickering lights. She should have been brought to the abyss, and it was supposed to be darkness and only darkness alone. However, the place where she used to comfort herself while hiding from all the fears she had, turned out to be a fascinating paradise where she could see flickering lights floating in the air instead of a cold, dark space it used to be. Chapter 49 was uploaded twice. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. I didn't know how it happened. I've been uploading new chapters with my phone and I'm kinda not used to it. I've requested it to be deleted now. Again, sorry for the inconvenience

The book is well written and very interesting! However, keep in mind there is no happy ending for now. According to the author, there will be a sequel with a happy end, but it is still not in the app, hopefully soon. Personally, I can't wait about it.
