There are also times when the children of the Darkness discover such feelings as love, which in turn draws them to the Light. Many times the being from Light connects with the one from Darkness, creating a beautiful, but always very sad and desperate love story - because in most cases neither Light nor Darkness want their representatives to mix with each other.

But the light Flickered. And went out.

I was grateful you couldn't remember your dark past and how excruciating the pain might be. "Can you just leave me alone for a moment? I don't even want to see your face now, I yelled, my eyes are teary, my world is falling apart. Just leave here now before I become the murderer you don't want me to now I yelled as I break down on the floor holding my head and screaming my lungs out. I felt like a knife was cutting deep Into my heart.

The wind blows mildly, bearing the scent of half winter half spring night. Sounds of rustling leaves mixed in a bit with the blowing wind making a melody of stillness and peace, kind like a lullaby. She looks up the evening sky and shivered at the coldness of the night. The sky was a bit unclear, stars are merely visible due to fogginess and she could only see a faint glow of yellow light underneath the cloud that covers moon. Her eyes shifted on her surroundings. It was dark. There were lamps but neither of them generates light. Tombs are neatly aligned on both sides. Some have withered flowers and unlighted candles, while most of them have none.

“Give me a few minutes. I’ll reroute the feed through my cloud and—” The lights flickered. Then died. Total darkness swallowed the room. Forks clattered. Bukky muttered something in Spanish under his breath. Matteo’s chair scraped against the marble floor as he rose, instincts sharp. I didn’t move. Years in the shadows had trained me to see through the dark. The faint city light filtering through the blinds painted their faces in pale streaks. “Anyone touched that switch—,” I said quietly, “—dies before the lights come back on.”

The archives were plunged into a thick, suffocating darkness, a darkness so absolute that it felt as though the world had simply ceased to exist. I froze, my breath hitching in my throat. The darkness was a physical weight, pressing against my eyes, making my head spin. I waited, my heart hammering a frantic rhythm, for the lights to return. For a second, there was nothing but the sound of my own ragged breathing and the frantic thudding of my pulse. Then, with a sudden, jarring hum, the lights flickered back to life. They didn't return to their full brightness, but they cast a dim, yellowish glow over the room, a sickly, uncertain light.

And somewhere high above the city, A glass office light flickered once, Then went dark.

And this is how the last story about Light and Darkness that I wanted to present to you ends. It was certainly an extraordinary journey, showing different stories, but at the same time touching the same topic - can two such opposing poles as Light and Darkness connect at some point? I'll leave it to your own choice, but one thing is for sure - as Miyuki said in Book 4, wanting to stop the battle between vampires and wizards - Light and Darkness certainly couldn't exist without each other. If there was only Light but no Darkness, what would be its meaning? Likewise, if there was only Darkness in the world, wouldn't its existence be pointless without trying to "devour" the Light?
