Just like I figured—Nina and Sasha still weren't back. I checked the old phone. No clue when the call had dropped. Not long after, it buzzed again. I picked up. Nina's voice came through. "You're Liam from the future, aren't you?" My fingers twitched. I didn't say a word—but she knew. She kept going. "What you told me earlier—about the awful stuff I said to Liam—that wasn't a guess, was it? You lived through that." A bitter smile crept in. "Yeah."

“Good. Honesty gets rewarded. Now show me how grateful you are for that honesty.” My hands moved to his waistband. Right then his phone buzzed on the dresser. Loud. Insistent. Callan glanced at it. His grip tightened in my hair. The screen showed a video call request. Unknown number. But the contact name that popped up made my blood freeze. Handler. And below it a preview frame. Me. On my knees in the basement room last night. Callan’s voice came out flat. Dangerous. “They want to watch the first real session live.” My mouth went dry. He answered the call anyway.

Navin gestured at them with his chin and they moved out of the bed, leaving the room to the devils that replaced them. Mahira was flung across the bed, she landed head down, the stench of hormones from the previous occupants act hit her nostrils and she felt nauseous ‘Tazz where are you?’ she screamed in her mind, just then she heard someone’s phone buzz “Good evening Mr. Jindal, oh! yes we are on it, its just about to begin... Mr. Jindal, trust me, we have never seen a woman as sexy and enchanting as her... yes, she is perfect for our film, thanks to you, sure, the film will be ready for you to watch tomorrow.. thank you sir,” Copper disconnected the call

“…right.” “We’ll discuss details properly later.” The call ended again before Kai could say anything else. Kai lowered the phone slowly, Confused about whatever the hell was going on. First, it was moving and now when he refused it's an overseas opportunity… it seems like Mr Singh really wants to get rid of me, Kai thought, he bit his lips lightly and walked back towards the class. What does he know? What has he found out? I've been keeping a low profile so what could be the reason?

I tried to make up for something I was not sure of. “I'll be fine.” “That'll be a breach of contract on our part. You will have a driver tomorrow morning,” I glanced in the rearview mirror again and found her hugging herself, her expression unreadable. I kept looking. “Okay,” she rolled her eyes and muttered something under her breath with an irritated frown. I was about to say something when a name flashed on the display linked to my phone. It was Melrose calling. I looked in the rearview mirror once again and the look on Elowen's face was that of cold anger.

' I headed to the underground parking garage and got into the Bentley that had been parked there for a long time. Only after I had completed the onboarding procedures at my new hospital did Rita finally call me, screaming curses the moment I answered. "Kevin, where the hell are you?! Are you insane? I already calmed the patient's family down! All that was left was for you to apologize, and you disappeared! I got yelled at because of you! Don't tell me you actually think the hospital can't function without you? Julian is a hundred times better than you. And you still want a promotion and raise? Are you even worthy?!"

"I think you've sold your drink pretty well." He chuckles then grabbed his glass. "Cheers?" He asks, raising his glass. I grabbed mine as well and raised it. "To a great night." I say. "The night just started, sweetheart." He stares at me hungrily. And fuck, I literally died and recovered when he called me sweetheart. A part of my body loved hearing it coming from his mouth. Being called sweetheart by Gage Stockholm has never been my dream but I'm so honored that he called me that.

" FYI, it's Dave, not Mave! Where the fuck are you we're waiting at Stacey's house." "FYI, I don't give a fuck about your name; Dave or Mave you're still a dick thirsty bitch! And I will be there in a minute." "You slimy..." and there goes my finger pressing the end button to that call. 'You can be such a bitch sometimes,' my inner voice says. 'I know right' was my spicy reply.

But the truth was, those were standard prices, exactly as outlined by the Werewolf Medical Association. They simply weren't used to it—because I used to cover the difference out of my own pocket. I didn't think much of it at first, until one day, I received a call from someone representing their pack. "Lily, please come back to us!" I froze for a moment, then replied calmly: "You must be mistaken. I'm no longer your healer—and you already have someone new." I was about to hang up, but the voice on the other end hurried to stop me.
