A Higher Call Movie Novels & Stories

Cain moves closer again before asking, “ What is?” “I don’t know,” I say with tears running down my face. I move my hands to cover my ears as the call is playing on an endless loop. I hear Alec and Cain speak to each other and I hear the loud thud of feet hitting the stairs as many people seem to be on the move.

A voice message came through. I tapped it open. A soft, alluring female voice filled the room. "Noah is still asleep. I'll let him know." Hearing that, my heart didn't stir at all. I shut my phone, washed up, did my makeup, and went downstairs to meet my fiancé. My fiancé, Samuel Reyes, was the most prominent figure and richest guy in Linwood—a city nearly a thousand miles from my hometown of Seaview. I'd asked my mother why she was marrying me off so far away.

In his hands were bags filled with food I used to love as a child. "Kate, I got these for you. Take them. You can eat them on your way home." Cole handed me everything in his hands. I hesitated for a moment before accepting them. "Thank you." A faint smile tugged at his lips as his eyes filled with undisguised joy. "If you ever have the time… you should come back more often." I gave a faint nod. With the bags in hand, I headed toward the ticket gate. Suddenly, a shout pierced through the crowd. "Kate Maxwell, you deserve to die!"

"Hey, Cupid. I kept on calling and calling, but you haven't been answering your phone. The higher-ups have been calling me to—" "WHAT THE FUCK?"

"We have a mutual contract, not a master and slave contract!" "Whatever. I'll hang up now." The caller abruptly cut the line, and a long beep sound followed after that. The man indignantly smashed his phone on the floor. The loud crashing sound startled the blond girl. Rather than feeling angry, she only purses her lips in discontent. She is still unsatisfied with the man's harsh behavior previously.

SCARLETT Ethan’s cold words still echoed in my head long after the call ended. I sat on the edge of the bed, phone clutched tightly in my shaking hands, tears streaming down my face. He was really going to do it. He was going to tell everyone I was a cheating whore who had trapped him with another man’s baby. My name, my reputation, everything I had built for five years — he would burn it to the ground unless I went back and played the perfect wife again.

I mumbled before answering the call, earning a smirk form Zach. "Alpha Heath," I greeted him with forced civility, keeping my tone neutral. "Felix," Marcus replied, his voice tinged with a mix of urgency and hesitation, "he doesn't even have the decency to call you alpha," Creed growled in my head. "The rogue problem has escalated beyond our control. We need your help."

Niko said but before he could continue his explanation, Kana ended the call. He waited since he knew another call will come. Kana would always call him on another number when they would talk for other purposes and if ever it was dangerously important. After a second, an unknown number was calling him. "Kana girl, that was so desrespectful you know," Niko answered the call. "I think its Aron," Kana said. "Who is Aron?" "He must have heard my conversation with the supreme superior. You know, he wanted to promote Vixy too," Kana explained.

“Elegant Escorts, how may I help you?” “Put me through to Mak,” a bitchy voice requests. “Who may I ask is calling?” “You don’t fucking need to know that, just put me through.” I have a good idea who I’m speaking with. “I’m sorry but my instruction is to identify a caller and let Mak know. If you would like to give me your name, I will check and see if she would like to take the call.” “I’ll call her cell phone. Maybe one day she’ll hire someone with more brains that tits.” The call ends and I smile.

Dane’s POV A call to my private number startled me, even though I was already awake. I reached for my phone and put it to my ear, not bothering to check who the hell was calling because whoever could find that number, was definitely not a small fry. “I'm sure you know I know now?” I paused in my head. Know what? And who the hell is this? That's when I checked the true caller. “Michelle Hart.” No way in hell. I nodded my head, even though she couldn't see me.
