A Higher Call Movie Novels & Stories

"I'm assuming you're not the chef." "God, no. I’m the man who makes sure the King looks like a King," he said, reaching out to flick a stray hair from my shoulder with a gloved hand. "And apparently, I’m the man who has to turn you into a Goddess of War in the next three hours. He called me at 4:00 AM, sounding... different. Now I see why." He leaned in closer, his perfume smelling of expensive oud and secrets. "I'm Flyn. Put that spatula down, honey. We have a mansion to infiltrate and a legacy to incinerate. If we’re going to announce your 'extinction' to the Hudsons, you’re going to need a hell of a lot more than an apron."

Dante said as he picked up the call and walked out. I looked around to see people—some making out, some dancing, some drinking. A blonde guy seated at the edge of the bar winked at me as he raised his drink. I rolled my eyes and muttered, “Men…” I stood up, adjusting my silver shirt gown, trying to navigate my way to the toilet when I crashed into a body. Not just any body—a hard one. “I’m—” I started, looking up at him, interrupted by his beauty. They say no one is perfect, but the features of this man changed that saying.

I was lounging at home, scrolling through social media, when a livestream title suddenly caught my eye—"The Other Woman Crash Course." Curious, I entered to see a woman talking animatedly, "My sugar daddy gives me 200,000 every month. I just need to keep him satisfied!" Viewers were doubtful and asked, "I don't believe you. Tell us how you two met." She smiled. "That's alright. You don't get to meet someone like that every day. I met him after doing a bone marrow transplant with his girlfriend three years ago. That's how I met this golden bachelor." I frowned. I had a bone marrow transplant three years ago too. Suddenly, the door opened, and she covered her phone in panic. A man's deep

She turned away from the crowd, answering in a low voice. “I told you not to call me for another two days!” The caller stammered on the other end. “I… I made a mistake.” Bethany’s eyes widened. “What? Tell me you didn’t. If you did, I’m in serious trouble!” The voice on the other end confirmed her fears. “Yes… I did.” " Shit"

But his eyes narrowed the second he saw me slipping my phone into my clutch. “Who was that calling you?” he asked, voice low and edged with something that looked a lot like jealousy. I smirked, turning slowly to face him. Instead of answering right away, I cat-walked toward him, hips swaying with every step. The dress moved with me like liquid. I stopped right in front of him, close enough that my perfume would wrap around him. “Why, hubby?” I purred, tilting my head and running a finger down his chest. “Jealous already? That’s cute.”

We were having a gathering before graduation. My girlfriend and best friend were getting congratulated by the whole class. They had gained guaranteed spots into the campus' top course's postgraduate program. I was sitting in a corner, staring at the Hertford University offer that would ensure I went straight to my doctorate. I hesitated on making a decision for three days just for my girlfriend. Howard Herbson, my best friend, turned to me. He had a look of pity and condescension in his eyes as he said, "How about your job hunt? Don't worry. Not getting into the postgrad program isn't the end of the world. The lab's requirements are ridiculous. "It's going to be near impossible for you t

"I do? Then why the hell did you contact Lawrence's when I literally told you not to! Do you even know what could be wrong if we fail again, you will have countless debts on you and our company will be bankrupted. That's the sort of aftermath you can't afford at the moment Jayson!" Hattiea shouted out loud without bothering being watched or filmed by anyone. Cameras and people, she cared least about at the very moment. Launching both of her fists over Jayson's chest aggressively caused him to jerk backwards again but getting a hold over himself, he again stood strong with his amour of defenceless confidence.

Jasmine's POV. Mr Blackwood's call came in a minute later and I was happy that he actually obeyed what I had told him. It wasn't every time that one was able to get a man to do what they wanted. "Hello darling." He said and I raised my brows at the unusual compliments. You were not in the public eye so there was absolutely no need for him to go down that route, also, I didn't understand why he was calling and texting at the same time.

I’m close to my phone when it rings again. “Shit!” I rush forward, holding out my hand to telekinetically bring my phone to me. It’s Kristy again, and I silence the call as fast as I can. There’s demonic dog drool on the screen, making my phone unable to register my finger. I quickly wipe the phone off on my dress and then answer Kristy’s call. “The fuck, Callie!” she spits. “Where the hell are you?” “I told you, I’m in the building next to the bar. Are you still at the bar?” I take a few quiet steps down the hall.

I muttered. His pen but his head still bent over the page. “What was that?” He asked. “I said look at me,” I repeated, louder. He set his pen down and raised his eyes to meet mine. It was blank, leaving no room for any expression to escape. “Is something the matter, Miss Monroe?” “Am I so disgusting that you refuse to look at me?” “I’m not sure I understand you, Miss Monroe—” “Stop fucking calling me that!” I snapped. “My name is Sussay.
